Located on one of Florida’s mid Atlantic coast barrier islands, Sea Oaks is a gated community on 125 acres bordering both the ocean and the intracoastal waterway.

Sea Oaks began in 1983. The original developer envisioned a residential community set in a natural environment of live oaks and sabal palms. The first dwellings included both oceanfront and tennis villa condominiums, as well as freestanding cottages and river homes.

In 1985, Sea Oaks was the recipient of an award recognizing the efforts of the developer to accommodate its roads and dwellings to the natural environment, thus preserving as much of the original vegetation as possible.
