There are distant views of the ocean from the bedrooms and living room. A front porch makes it possible to enjoy the island community. There is a large back yard for playing. This is a simple home appropriate for families wanting to take advantage of biking, hiking, swimming and kayaking on the island.

Vinalhaven is a small year round island. The community is known for lobstering. It is an easy walk from the house to the down town area. The town has several restaurants, a grocery store, a post office, several art galleries, and a few small shops. The island is reached by ferry from Rockland, ME. There are many places to hike, bike and kayak on the island. There are also several swimming quarries.

A very homey place to spend some time.

My wife and I stayed in this house for a week and we really enjoyed the comfort of the home and the landlord was great. Its a real working fishing island with great people.
