Beach rentals

Lovely place!

Wonderfully decorated condo! Very spacious! Appreciated all items for my granddaughter - The pack-n-play, the high chair, beach toys. Kitchen furnished nicely. Appliances VERY nice! My only complaints were that the pool closed at 8:00 (there were signs stating this was a city ordinance). We booked rather quickly and I didn't see this info until I received the lease agreement. By this time, it was too late to find out any info as to whether this was a Sandbridge or Virginia Beach ordinance. I've NEVER stayed anywhere on vacation that the pool closed so early. Our granddaughter is a very fair skinned red haired baby, and about the time we felt it was safe to take her to the pool in the evening after dinner, the pool was closing... Also, our cell service is through A T & T and the signal was HORRIBLE!! We literally had to stand in a certain spot on the balcony to use the phone or to send or receive a text. This became EXTREMELY irritating and frightening when our granddaughter became VERY sick while we were there. Her dad was on duty (he's in the Navy stationed in Norfolk- which is why we chose to vacation in Virginia Beach again) and her mom was unable to join us on the trip. Trying to stay in touch with both of them in the middle of the night with such limited cell service was very nerve wracking. There was a phone in the condo of course, but we didn't know how much we would be charged for the long distance calls to my daughter-in-law back home, and I knew my son wouldn't have answered a call from an un-known number in the middle of the night. I would not have hesitated to have used the phone for dialing 911... Thank goodness it did not come down to that. I'm guessing that both those problems are not the fault of the condo owners or the rental agency... It just wasn't good for our family. But the condo itself is a very lovely place. And I was VERY impressed with the friendliness of the staff at Sanctuary Resort! Every person encountered from reservations, to staff persons we just passed by, met in the elevator or out getting the pool ready to close and then on to check-outs were all extremely courteous and friendly!
