Perfect Weekend Getaway

We were very impressed with this little house. The view is truly incredible and even though there are neighbors, it felt very private. The amenities were also very impressive for a vacation house. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The master bed was fantastic. We loved having the hot tub and kayaks to play with. One tip - Groceries can be a little hard to come by in the immediate area, but Mathews was a pretty quick drive to the Food Lion. We hope to stay here again in the future. It was definitely a winner!

Cozy beach house

We loved our time at this beach house! Very private location with a short walk to the beach and short drive to the board walk and shopping. We had cooler weather and appreciated the fireplace. The bedrooms were nicely appointed and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a home cooked meal. A short drive to the aquarium and Dam Neck Naval base. There is internet but no wireless, not a big deal since we were on the go most of the time. Owner was easy to work with. I would definitely rent this unit again if we return to the area.

Loved the Location

Very quaint and away from the busy boardwalk. Close to many great attractions. We saw dolphins every morning and watching the ships coming and going into the bay all day was pretty neat. Our condo was clean and comfortable, and owner was very nice. Remember to bring sheets, towels, and t.p. though! Only wish the weather would have cooperated a little more.

Unbeatable Location!

This charmer is at the very northern tip of public access at Va. Beach (government-owned property is adjacent). The beach is wide and uncrowded. We could see dolphins cavorting in the waves during every morning walk. Convenient to everything you could need or want, and more finely furnisihed than are many beach cottages. All of us, including grandchildren (boy, 10; girl, 8) enjoyed touring the nearby lighthouse.

Perfect retreat

This is a wonderful, cozy cottage-like home at the peaceful north end of the beach (only 5 minutes drive to downtown). Full kitchen and barbecue eased our expenses though we visited the run down looking but great (and pretty inexpensive) eatery "Harpoon Larry's" for peel and eat shrimp and Rum Runners. We thoroughly enjoyed the short walk (about 100 meters) from the house through sand dunes to the beach and then walking for miles in pristine sand. We also enjoyed watching the dolphins rolling playfully over the waves each day and countless seabirds including the strange and entertaining pelicans.

Comfortable and classic: this is a perfect beach front cottage. Excellent views, well-stocked kitchen, great screened-in porch. State park with hikin trails across the street. Highly recommended.

family fun on vacation

The place was clean and in a good location. Virginia Beach is probabley one of the nicest family vacation site I have stayed at. The accomidations where very nice the pool coulc have used some upkeep and the hot tub did not have any hot or warm water. This is not the fault of the condo owner this I blame on the management of the building. Overall I very much enjoyed my stay and I can say my family made alot of wonderul memories.This is the first time I have ever looked on line to find a vacation rental.... I had a good experience...

Cottage feel, unbeatable location

Lovely cottage with a wonderful view, located in the best part of VA Beach. We enjoyed easy walks to the beach on a brisk Thanksgiving weekend, after which we returned to a quaint setting with a nice layout. Perfect space for 6, plus baby. Thank you so much!

A VERY Special Place At The Beach

A charming, classic beach house in the finest spot on the beach! The proprietor was lovely to work with--extremely helpful and inviting. The house itself is very special and boasts a great view of the ocean, just past the dunes. A neighbor told us, "You have the best spot on the beach." We agreed. Watch commercial and naval vessels enter and leave Chesapeake Bay all day long. The beach, while public, was quiet, sparsely populated and clean. Overall, a fabulous vacation. We hope to return soon.

We have 3 young children. It was very easy to go to the beach. Easy enough that we were going back to the house for lunch! This part of the beach is not as busy as where all the hotels are, another nice fact when having kids. Finally, we have been watching dolphins almost every day, sometime closer than 100 feet.

Perfect Get-away

The views really are incredible, and the cottage is cozy, comfortable and welcoming. The location on the north end of VB is well away from the frey, but a very short drive to shops, restaurants and the movie theatre. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and our Christmas in the cottage was in the "best ever" category!
