Description of the Virginia Beach vacation cottage rental
"The Bay Breeze Cottage III" is conveniently located just two miles east of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel near the Lynnhaven Inlet and Cape Henry. A fourteen minute (ten mile) drive will take you to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk on the Atlantic Ocean, and a ten minute (seven) mile drive takes you to the Norfolk International Airport.
"The Bay Breeze Cottage III" lies in the bayside community of Ocean Park on a quiet street lined with native water oaks, just steps from the wide Ocean Park Beach. From the beach, you'll enjoy awesome views of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel as well as Cape Henry and Fort Story.
The cottage consists of two attached units...the front cottage has two bedrooms and one bathroom, a roomy greatroom highlighted by yellow pine wainscoating, and a fully-equipped kitchen. There's a small private side yard for lounging and grilling. The rear unit provides three bedrooms, a bath an a half, a large greatroom accented with yellow pine wainscoating, a diningroom, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Outside is a private fenced yard shaded by an ancient water oak. Best of all, a spacious ( 16' X 28' ) new deck provides lots of space for outdoor living.
The Public Access Way to the bay beach is just a two minute walk from the cottage. The beach is very wide having just been replinished, and is never crowded since there are very few public parking spaces available.

"The Bay Breeze Cottage III" is indeed situated in a perfect location. Exit the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel onto Shore Drive which is the gateway to Virginia Beach, and proceed two miles to the bayside community of Ocean Park. Ocean Park lies along the shore of the Chesapeake Bay and the Lynnhaven River, and is only a fifteen minute drive to the Boardwalk resort area of Virginia Beach.
Within the Ocean Park community, there are many varied attractions for the visitor to enjoy. Within walking distance of "The Bay Breeze Cottage III" are three fine restaurants offering fine seafood as well as Mexican fare. And within a mile is one of Virginia Beach's finest seafood restaurants, The Lynnhaven Fish House, located at the entrance to the popular Lynnhaven Fishing Pier. Celebrating their 25th anniversary, The Lynnhaven Fish House, offers a wide selection of fresh seafood served in a setting overlooking the Chesapeake Bay...it's not to be missed!
Within Ocean Park is the Lesner Bridge where the waters of the Chesapeake Bay lead into the Lynnhaven River...this is a great spot for surf fishing and crabbing. Here also is the city's newest and finest boat-launch marina facility. Launch here, and you're only minutes from the Chesapeake Bay and all of the activities it has to offer: great fishing, particularly along the Bay Bridge Tunnel where record size flounder, trout and stripped bass abound, water skiing or jet skiing, kayaking, or just joy-riding perhaps to the Norfolk or Hampton harbors...your choices are almost endless.
And also at the Lesner's entrance to the Bay are a number of dockside restaurants, including "Bubbas" where the crab cake sandwiches are to die for. Plus, here you can charter a private fishing boat or go out bottom fishing on any number of party boats that are moored at the marina.

April 2008...Renovations have been completed...
We've just remodeled the cottage's interior converting the half-bath to a full-bath with shower. Also, a sixteen foot wall between the greatroom and the kitchen and diningroom has been removed leaving an 8-foot long eat-on bar. Beautiful granite countertops and bar-top have been installed as well.
Now the cottage has a more open and airy feel throughout making "The Bay Breeze Cottage III" and even better place to spend your vacation or business trip here in Virginia Beach!
