We loved our time in what we dubbed "The Cabin in the Woods," there was hiking on the property, campfires, feeding the donkeys and sheep. It was a magical week for us. Our two year old loved that while we ate dinner he could watch the goats milling about in the pastures and that each morning he could hear them beneath his window. The owner really goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you could need in just the right place. For instance, the coffee table in the livingroom opens to find lap blankets, playing cards and info about town. Just where you want it. The basket of cookies and dozen eggs were of course lovely and well appreciated. The eggs were so crazy fresh. I just loved them. The kitchen is well appointed. All the things you could need for cooking with little more than the actual food to be brought or bought in town. We visited the farmers market on Saturday and made good use of the local produce and shopped at the Amish stalls for handmade baskets. The town itself is beautiful and friendly. Small but filled with all you could possibly need.
