Owner Supplied Testimonials
Michele, here we are reporting on our week in "il vecchio granario", and what an excellent week we had. The property was terrific...best feature?-the bathroom and the bath, very relaxing with a glass of wine and some suitable music floating up from the kitchen. However, we enjoyed the tranquility, the garden and Pablo, who was very spoilt by Jess. Sutri was exactly what we had hoped for, and arriving on the day of the Procession of Corpus Domini was a particular treat- we took stacks of photos of the flower -strewn streets. We left a historical exp[loration of the village until the last morning, and made it to the amphitheater, the church of Madonna del Parto and the crypt of the Duomo. We enjoyed the Pizzeria, and made friends with Marina and the pizza chefs, and had one rally good meal at Vescovado. We thought that the Saturno was a little up-market for us, but guess what?-it was reccommended in a travel article in The Sunday Times the day that we gotr back! We enjoyed the experience of not hearing anEnglish speaking voice, and improving our tiny bit of Italian. Our favorite bar was the gelateria in the Piazza Cavour, where the Sambucas went down a treat. As for the region, was unspoilt and full of historical interest-we went to Viterbo, the villas Lante and Farnese, and the castle at Bracciano, and explored the Etruscan tombs at Tarquinia. Lago di Vico was the scene of a number of refreshing swims and we also had a short trip to Nepi and saw a little of the opening ceremony for the Palio. .......Our wish is to return to Lazio - there's so much to do- and we hope that we can return to your lovely house sometime in the future. best wishes the Ferguson family
