If I was to design a dream vacation home, I would copy the Maile Tree House down to the smallest detail // Fantastic experience that exceeded all of our expectations // Attention to detail in every nook and cranny.. warm, inviting and cozy.. decor remarkably creative.. bedding & furniture very cozy, the garden beautiful.. hidden suprises throughout...most memorable one yet(15th anniv.)// My husband asked what the best part of our trip was, I said my favorite part was the tree house, and he said, 'That's exactly what I was going to say!'quite a statement for him, I miss it already! // Home is warm and beautiful..loved the woodwork , the fireplace, especially your attention to detail // Warm wood tones, cushy furniture, modern ammenities.. with whimsical touches..a place to truly relax // I still sigh every time I think about our wonderful time there // The house is just perfect, down to every last detail // I continue to think/ daydream about the house // Amazing home--- Unique -distinct touches..Clever design // An amazing job // Unforgettable stay // WOW! Absoulutely spectacular // Couldn't have picked a more Magical place to stay // Words can't express it // First time I've stayed at a Bed and Breakfast and my back hasn't hurt // After your place the other one we rented on the beach in Oahu couldn't compete! ...how you guys can rent it to strangers // Architects spend careers trying to create what we call 'sense of place..and you have created a powerful sense of place // If this were my house, I would never be able to rent it out-wondering if you have a background in hospitality, with maybe the Four Seasons.. everything is so thought out // Amazing bed // The pictures will never do it justice...scenery is gorgeous..layout perfect // An inspiring place // Wonderful Gardens!.. Maile Tree House is in Volcano Village one mi outside Volcano's National Park. THe Park has extensive hiking, museums, visitor's center, art gallery, bowling alley, occasional live theater, and weekly guest speaker talks. We have a golf course a couple miles from the park, a choice of restaurantes-from Thai to Fine, a great Sunday Farmers Market (finished by 9am!) and a large artist population with a few galleries (events and workshops often) Volcano Village community has exercise classes, yoga, massage, and other offerings on it's local calendar as they come up. Hilo is our largest town with all that a oceanside town would have to offer. Nearby also are nurseries, a winery, mac nut -- candy--and coffee company and factories.
