Volcano Village Retreat is located in the Volcano Village,easy walking distance to shops , restaurants ,stores, nature walks,post office and Galleries.As you enter the gate and drive to your own private Hale(cottage), you will pass a gazebo (with a hot tub and lookout area) in the circular driveway. Each Hale has a TV,DVD,refrigerator,toaster,microwave,wet bar Queen bed, bathroom.Its surrounded by the peace and beauty of the native ferns and Ohia trees,a gathering place for native Hawaiian birds.We Have three private hales, and a large gathering Hale for your added enjoyment with internet access big screen TV,fire place, lounging area and kitchen access (upon request) for private meetings ,parties etc..

Volcano Village Retreat is at 4000ft elevation 2 miles from Hawaii Volcano National Park. View Mauna Loa, the earths most massive volcano, 13,677ft, walk through Thurston Lava Tube and listen to the native birds.Over one half of the park is designated wilderness with unusual hiking and camping.Hawaii Volcano National Park has been honored as an International Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site. Punalu'u Beach is just 30 minutes away,a sanctuary for sea turtles that come to lay their eggs on the black sand beach.A great place for camping and snorkeling. The Volcano golf course is a favorite among golfers and Nene (our state bird) There are Orchid farms , botanical gardens, and views of Mauna Kea.

Volcano Village is noted for its fine restaurants, local artists galleries, grocery stores,post office and its very own covered skate boarding park and children,s play ground.Sunday farmers market offers organic vegetables and fruits, plants and more.
