March Wedding

My youngest daughter was married March 23 and some of the wedding party and family members gathered to stay in the 7 bedroom 7 bath property on Edmiston Lane. Although the weather was somewhat cool, we had an enjoyable time gathered around the fireplace talking and playing pool. We mostly enjoyed the large open kitchen and living room area. The cabin is spacious and very accommodating for a large number of guests; we would love to visit again.

Great Place

The house was amazing. More than enough room for everyone. The bedrooms were large and the living space was huge. There was plenty of room for everyone to hang out in the same area as well as some space to escape if needed. The lake was a little farther away than expected. The use of the golf cart made it better, but you were unable to watch the wakeboarders and tubers from the house. The owners were easy to work with and a great help.

Perfect place for a large group!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to gather our family: large enough to offer privacy, variety of activities (both on property and close by) appealing to all ages (we 20 family members ranging from 9 months to 60+ including 3 teenagers and not one person was unhappy the whole week!), fully equipped kitchen, and wonderfully accommodating owners. We will enthusiastically recommend it to all our friends and will most assuredly return!

Our entire family - 25 of us! - converged on Wilderness Lodge for a long-awaited celebration of our patriarch's (Dad's) 80th birthday. The Lodge was the perfect spot and accommodated everyone comfortably and in style. We highly recommend the Lodge and its owners for a well designed lay out and timely answers to any questions. Note: the dock is at the bottom of a steep incline but the golf cart helped make the return to the Lodge fun and much, much easier!

Great multi-family vacation home

This house is perfectly for a multi-family vacation. The large square footage of the house permits good "people flow" without anyone stepping over anyone else. In addition, the majority of the bedrooms have private baths, again perfect for multiple families. The outdoor deck is spacious and provides a lovely view of the woods (and the swingset to watch over children). The house was clean and well-cared for, and well-appointed (enough towels to accomodate a huge group). To top it off, there are lots of "toys" for kids and adults: pool table, ping pong, foosball, swingset, basketball, and private lake access for kids to jump off the deck into the water. And you can bring your dog for an extra fee - something I'm very glad we did because our dog had a blast running around outside and playing in the lake. I really have no complaints and I would absolutely stay there again, as would all of the other five families that joined us there , including one who traveled from Australia.
