Everything was great as described. The view was perfect - watching the waves and surfers in the distance during the day and fireworks directly in front of the lanai Friday night. It had a new remodeled feel inside, the kitchen made it convenient to store a bit of food. The full size fridge was more than we ever needed. It was easy to walk to everything we needed to do. The Mall is only a 10 min walk and there is a Walmart behind the Mall. The air conditioning didn't seem to work that well so we left the lanai doors open most of the time and let the breeze keep things cooler. One thing I would ask them for is for better mattresses. We found them very hard and it made it difficult to sleep. If this one thing was upgraded I would give this place 5 stars. Otherwise everything else was fantastic.
Owner's reply:
The unit has a $4000 whisper quiet split AC system, if you had called maintenance as instructed on your confirmation email or welcome sheet if any issues arise, it would have been taken care of the very same day.

Immaculate Marine View Condo

I and my family recently stayed in unit 429 for 11 days. We walked into a beautiful condo, big enough to sleep 5 or even 6 people. Everything was immaculate and truly lovely. I know that when people travel, the bed is big problem usually...not here. This unit has the "BEST" mattresses I have ever had on a vacation. I was trying to figure out how to take it home with me. There were yummy white duvet covers on both bed that were wonderful and awesome pillows. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need if want to prepare your own meals as far as pots, pans, plates and dishes...and plenty of glasses (which has always been the bane of our existance when traveling, since there are always 4-5 of us). I was very happy to find an iron and a hairdryer in the unit as well, since I had forgotten to bring both...sometimes it is the little things that make your life so much easier. I was concerned that the view in a lower floor would not be okay, but I was very wrong. We got there and opened that wonderful wall of sliding glass doors to a lanai that held not just one, but 2 tables an chair sets (so we all could relax) and saw a fabulous view of the Marina, the ocean, the city beyond the Ilikai...so no fears people..it is still a view of paradise! For those of us who cannot give up our internet, no problem. The free wi-fi worked very well and was easy to access. There is a very nice flat screen TV as well for those who can't miss there favorite shows. Parking at the Ilikai can be very expensive, but there is very reasonable parking right next door and this info comes in the information if you book this unit. Our whole experience was magical and we all loved our stay. The Ilikai itself has stores and coffee shops, 2 restaurants, a pool and free entertaiment on Friday nights that I recommend you see in the courtyard. Once this show is done you can then see the fireworks display from the resort next door without ever leaving your seat. If you are an adventurer, you are only a few minutes walk from the Ala Moana Shopping Center (fabulous shopping) and in the other direction, the hustle and bustle of Waikiki...very fun. We found that at the end of each of our days, coming back to our unit was like coming home...cozy, welcoming and to be honest plenty of room for all of us, our luggage and everything we had acquired during that days adventure. You will love it here. We would definitely book this room again and again. Aloha.

Unit 516 Ilikai Condo wonderful

We stayed at the Ilikai in privately owned unit #516 and it was exactly as advertised - newly renovated, clean, updated and spacious. Beautiful ocean view from the lanai as well as the Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks. Comfortable king size bed, large flat screen TV and a good kitchen space. The Ilikai has a nice pool and the beach and lagoon in front of the Hilton Hawaiian village is a 5 minute walk. The hotel restaurant is reasonably priced but there are many restauarants very close. The bus stop is right out front and a 20 minute ride to Waikiki beach and shopping. You can walk 15 minutes to the Ala Moana Shopping Mall or the Ala Moana beach and park which is wonderful and much quieter than Waikiki. There is a Food Pantry to stock your kitchen just a few blocks away, or use the Wal Mart near the Ala Moana mall. The ease of booking and using this condo was greatly appreciated after a long, long trip from Windsor, Ontario to Honolulu. Airport to hotel cab ride was $35.

This was our first time at Hawaii. The unit we rented has city view. It was surprisingly nice and compact unit. Better than what we expected. Very tidy, and clean unit. The location is perfect. couple minutes walk to the beach, walking distance to the mall as well. everything is well within reach. We certainly would stay again next time.

We have searched for a nice condo to rent in waikiki and we make the best choice as we have a nice location with partial view and as well many store just around. The only thing is that in the bedroom the size of the bed was too small , however, we really enjoyed staying there rather than the hotel we stayed before. Sincerely

View of diamond head, beach, lagoon, and boat docking area. At night from our balcony we could see a a show of women dancing and men spinning fire. I would say overall the room was nice I would of liked a separate master bedroom but the 2 beds and sofa bed are located all together. I didn't realize this was a studio. Takes a while to get to the lobby because elevators are usually full. It cost about $5 to was and dry clothes.

Thanks! Just want to say my family and I stayed at Ilikai Unit # 1818 and we had a fabulous time! The condo was clean and very open. The view is spectacular overlooking the beach and the pools. Surprise treat, we got to see the Luao show every night from our deck for free. It was walking distance to everything! The condo was clean when we arrived! The beds were comfortable, but the wooden corner ends of both beds stuck out perhaps for modern style look; however it easily bruised some ankles. May I suggest, perhaps just square the beds/flush straight down the end of the mattresses beds and take away the extra wooden length. Other than that, we had such a great time and will recommend to others! Location was perfect close to shops & restaurants. We had friendly service during our stay! Thanks! Nelly Montgomery

We arrive at about 10pm to our studio, we stood on the lanai, the moon over the ocean, the lights of waikiki, close but not too close, Kapiolani park across the way. Just beautiful! Our room was very comfortable, nice decor and lots of windows for the breeze to keep us comfortable. We parked on the street so had to move the car at various times but no big deal. I would definitely stay here again. The ocean in front of our condo was nice too, you walked down a little ways and had ocean and the lawn area with lounge chairs was sand free. We ate Leonards malasadas every morning, climbed Diamond Head, Kayaked Lanikai, rented a great bike from The Bike Shop and rode from Diamond Head out to Makapuu point, ate at Nicos at pier 38 and wore leis everyday, swam everyday. Wish I could have stayed longer. What a beaufitul place to call home while we enjoyed Oahu.

We had a great stay in unit 1820! The condo was in good condition, clean and check-in was easy. The problems we had, balcony door lock broken & smoke alarm beeping at 4 AM, were fixed quickly. The oven did not get hot enough. The condo was located close to all amenities and provided the privacy we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning with our coffee, just watching the surfers! At night we enjoyed the fireworks with a glass of wine from the balcony. We will be back. Diane

Ilikai Resort Hotel Older but very Nice Unit

We stayed at the Ilikai Resort Hotel ina privately owned condo. Although the hotel is older the front lobby, hallways were well kept. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The private unit we rented was in great shape and looked like it was recently renovated. The view to the ocean was spectacular. The check in was a breeze with the code box, the unit was clean and we had a very enjoyable stay.

My husband and spent a month at the Ilikai!! Although the unit was fairly small it was very functional and clean. We enjoyed the fairly large lanai which had comfortable furniture. We liked to watch the beautiful sunsets from our condo which offered a fantastic view of the marina and the ocean! We appreciated Bert's help (the superintendent) when it was needed. He was very attentive and prompt. The hotel has a number of amenities i.e., restaurants, coffee shop and every Friday night we were treated to a show with native dancers and singers not to mention the fireworks at the hotel next door. We were disappointed with the pool. It was small and offered no shade. Overall we enjoyed very much our stay at the Ilikai and would certainly go back.

Excellent location for Waikiki visit. Nice building with excellent view. The only suggestion I would make is to have smokers go further away from the building. Every time we walked down to the beach using the walkway, we were hit by the smokers sitting along the wall smoking. It is such a beautiful area and view - it was a shame we had to walk through the smoke clouds on our way to the beach.

Great location but a few "bugs"

My family (3 adults including a grandmother, 2 kids age 9 and 14) stayed in Unit 421 in the Ilikai from Dec. 17/11 through Jan 4/12. The builidng is in a great location, within a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to Ala Moana shopping centre, as well as many local shops right around the corner. The aparment itself was quite large (around 500 sq ft) with two very comfortable queen beds and a large, comfy futon. There is also a desk/chair, and good sized patio (lania) with table and chairs. The kitchen in this unit is very nice--large, granite counterops, lots of cabinets, decent dishes but could use a few more pots and pans, etc. but it also has some drawbacks. The are two small bar fridges instead of a full sized fridge (found in most other units), which makes it difficult to purchase groceries for a family of 5 staying over two weeks. (When they renovated, the owners went for more cabiinet space instead of a proper fridge, and although the cabinets are very nice, I think was a mistake) The bar fridge freezers are about 5" tall, and don't fit a pizza box or much else. There is also no oven in this unit--a real pain. Fortunately, we had family staying in another unit in the building so were able to cook things there but it was very inconvenient and we would not have booked this unit if another one capable of sleeping 5 had been available. We had three other issues--the phone number on the phone was incorrect so family had to come down to the unit to talk to us (Bert gave us the right phone number so it did get sorted out), the dvd player did not work (a drag for the kids as we had brought movies with us), and there was an infestation of small black bugs in the bathroom. We spoke to Bert about this and he offered to fumigate but my son has asthma so we declined and suffered through it. The unit is facing the street and located just above the building entrance--which makes it very noisy when the sliding doors are open. Overall, I would recommend this building as a great location, and even though this unit is at the lower end of the rental rate scale, I would not book this particular unit again

The unit has a magnificent view of the ocean and sunsets. Gerry and Irene were very, very responsive to our concerns and very efficient in responding to our questions. The building is a little older but relatively maintained. Except for the broken TV in the bedroom and some housecleaning issues, when we first got there, the description is exactly as it appears in the website! Very good. If it were not for the expensive parking fee and the 2 elevators you need to ride to get to the unit, this place would be a 5 star. Also, before you buy toiletries - shampoo etc or kitchen stuff, like soap etc, look in the cabinets first; you might find what you need. We will definitely rent this condo again. BTW, during our 10 day stay, we did not see huge, flying Hawaiian roaches in the unit :)

Our stay at the Ilikai (817). Overall, we were pleased with the condo. It's location made it easy to get in and out of Waikiki. Parking in the lagoon parking lot was easy and much less than the hotel rate. The room was clean and fresh, with the exception of the shower. My impression is that the weather, coupled with the quick turnover, makes mildew control difficult. The bathroom sink also had a pretty regular drip. Nonetheless, the bed was super comfortable and the bedding was spotless. While we did not cook in the room, we could have as the kitchen was well stocked with both cooking and serving utensils/dishes. The room below us did have one rowdy night with college-age men smoking and shouting from the balcony -- the Ilikai staff quickly addressed the problem though and we were able to sleep, as we had on other nights, with the lanai open. Even though we overlooked Mauna Loa, the main street was not too noisy. We look forward to our return -- next time with a beach view though!

This condo has a wonderful view of the lagoon and the beach, has access to a great pool for real swimmers, and 2 good restaurants on the premises. As for the condo itself, it is well furnished and kitchen is stocked with necessary items. There were plenty of towels supplied for the entire week. However, the lighting in the living area is not adequate. It is impossible to sit on the couch and read. The only somewhat adequate reading light is between the 2 beds. And, the "table" on the lanai is useless, being only about 8 inches tall, and falling apart. The mattresses on the beds need to be turned over once in a while! Other than these failings, I would rate this condo very high for cleanliness, comfort and location.

Aloha, We were wondering if the 18 hours to get to hawaii would be worth it for us and let me say it definitely was. Our condo #816 was just wonderful with our king size bed,full kitchen and the best of all our amazing view of the lagoon and ocean. We loved being in the quiet part of waikiki but just minutes away from everything. We rented a car just across the street at alamo and circled the island.We went at polynesian cultural center,we climbed diamond head,we walked the boardwalk from one end of waikiki beach to the other,snorkled at hanauma bay and just had the time of our lives for two wonderful weeks,sept 16 to 30th. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with dinner at Hau Tree lanai and was just the most special evening ever. On the island of Oahu the food is great,the people are wonderful and the views are just amazing.We thought that going to Hawaii would be a ounce in a lifetime experience because of the distance but now we are thinking of going again.Mahalo Ron & Anne Doiron

We stayed at the Ilikai Marina condo # 790 and it was by far one of the better places we've stayed in Waikiki. The condo was very well kept and the management members that helped us throughout our stay were extremely helpful and attentive. The access code to our condo was one from an earlier guest, but that was cleared up at our doorstep and we were inside within minutes. The condo unit was quiet, even though there was heavy traffic outside. The only downfall that we encountered was that the condo was not equipped with a washer/dryer unit. However, this was rectified with the fact that there was a laundromat type room the floor above us. Furthermore, the inconvenience with that was the lack of a quarter machine for their washers and dryers. Contrarily, just a short walk across the bridge adjoining the condos from the actual Ilikai hotel was a quarter machine next to the concierge in the hotel lobby. Overall I'd say that we would return to this unit given that we wanted to stay in the Waikiki area again.

My husband & I stayed in this studio for a week and we loved it. The location can't be beat, it's a 2min walk to Main beach, all the shops restaurants are walking distance just perfect. The studio is fully appointed you don't even have to rent snorkle gear! Beach towels, chairs, umbrella, coolers, boogie boards and sand toys. The kitchenette is fully stocked as well. The king size bed is very comfortable and so are the pillows, we slept very well. We were on the 21 floor and the views are awesome. We hope to come back soon!

Great value for beachfront condo on Waikiki. We paid much less than the rooms were renting for in the same resort. Pros: The lanai was large and comfortable for relaxing and watching the sunset - it overlooks the Ilikai Marina. The beach is about a 3 minute walk. The beds and furnishings were modern and comfortable. The construction with concrete meant that my kids could play and not have to worry about being too loud for the neighbors to be disturbed. The laundry facilities were right down the hall which was very convenient for my family of 5 over our 10-day stay. Cons: The bathroom was so poorly lit that my personal nightlight came on in the evening even when I had the lights on in there! If I could have figured out how to change the light bulbs, I would have! Showering was like being in a dark closet with water running. There is no bathtub, just a shower - so it was tricky to bathe our small children at the end of a beach day - we resorted to the kitchen pitcher method. The room was not as clean as I would have expected. The front of the refrigerator was covered with grime and there was sand in the corners of the rooms. The kitchen is tiny, and the stove should be updated! We had 5 people in our party, but were only provided with 4 towels and 2 beach towels. This is a detail that should be noted when booking and appropriate amounts of linens should be supplied. Overall - it was great - the Ilikai is newly renovated, but the condo still needs some work to come up to the level of the rest of the resort. I would recommend this, just be aware of the issues...

Basically the room (1818 Ilikai) is a studio apartment. It was clean, though a bit worn. The view was very nice, the beds and bedding comfortable, although on one bed the sheets were the wrong size, so kept sliding around - the other bed had an appropriate fitted sheet. The kitchen is tiny and equipped with a hodgepodge of items (esp. utensils). We did not find it conducive to any real cooking though we were able to boil eggs and the microwave worked. Valet parking is $22 a night, which we found expensive and inconvenient, although the valets were definitely on the ball and it did not take long to get the car. there was construction going on in the lobby area, so we really could not relax in the lobby at all; we had to walk to other hotels to do that. The Hilton is next door; we could see their luau show from the lanai, as well as the (very short) fireworks Friday. Be aware that the bathroom will be very sparsely equipped with stuff for a couple of nights - (you are warned about this by management). The atmosphere was totally sterile. Although literature keeps reminding you that this is a "privately owned condo" it does not feel at all privately owned or at all personal. Corporate all the way. Things worked, and no one bothered us, so in all, I guess it was good - just not extraordinary (and not at all as wonderful as the reviews we read ahead of time would have suggested).

Me and the wife came down for a conference in Oahu. After looking at hotels with ocean views, there was no comparable price, location, and space that was offered. With this place, you are in Waikiki, have a great ocean view, and almost double the space of most hotel rooms. If you are staying for 1 or more weeks or have family, the full kitchen provides flexibility and alternate less expensive dining option. Would certainly recommend and visit again.

We had a wonderful time with the condo! It was so clean, and supplied everything we needed. Although it doesn't have an ocean view, we enjoyed being able to see the mountains and watch the goings-on in Waikiki. It was nice to be on the beach, and to be so close to so many venues. We won't be back for several years, but we would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to all our friends. Just one little note to tall people (over 6 feet)--the shower might be a little on the shorter side, but it was nothing we couldn't handle.

We were happy to find that the condo was exactly how the ad said it would be! (We actually thought it was nicer in person!) Lorie (the owner) was wonderful at communicating with us and was a great source of information! The condo fits 2 people perfectly. The view through the ceiling to floor windows was lovely! Although it's not facing the ocean, it was beautiful to look out onto the mountain and watch the sun come up! We could see the ocean as soon as we left the condo and it was a welcome site every morning. Less than a block from the ocean, we felt the location was great! Being at the end of the main strip, it allowed for privacy and was quiet during the night. The style of the condo is quite modern. The kitchen has everything you would need! We can't say enough good things about our stay! We would gladly stay at this condo again!

Excellent location and apartment. Location wise outstanding Marina views, with beach a very short stroll away and good restaurants and pub (Harbour Pub) nearby. Also 10-15 minute walk to Ala Moana Centre and one of the Ross stores on the island for Bargain hunters. Great bargains on name brands, (Calvin Klien, Fossil, numerous brands for sports clothes and underwear, jewellery, bags, sun glasses ...... )Would definitely book an apartment at the Ilikai again - Condo and hotel complex in one building. Condo a perfect size for two single people, and nicely decorated. Lanai (balcony) with sensational view particularly at sunset, good kitchen facilities, flat screen tv and plentiful storage as well. They could do with new sheets and pillows though and watch your shins on the sharp corners of the beds but they are the only criticisms. One advantage of this location too is coming to and from the airport, doing the tourist trips etc is that you are virtually and the end of the run going out and beginning coming back so you don't have to do all the stop offs at the other hotels. would also recommend the bus service from the airport ($15 round trip) rather than a taxi as it is much cheaper and very efficient. Public buses are also very easy to catch on the island and are regular. Helicopter ride is also worth doing to give a good perspective.

Jan and I would like to say that we were pleasantly surprized by the condition of our condo, as it had been recently remodeled and for a studio unit, was well layed out. It had been well cleaned and the new marble floors and counters really set the place off right. Our condo was on the 4th floor facing the Marina/Ocean and it gave us a great view and was quiet at night. Our contact "Scott" was extremely pleasant to deal with, and helped us through the odd difficultly we had, such as the Tsunami warning and such, which I might add was dealt with by the Condo/hotel in a very proffessional manner. The hotel is right in the middle of everything with swimming, shopping and dinning all around you. We would not hesitate to use this condo again. Minus the Tsunami Warnings......everything else was great!

The unit came as advertised and shown on the site. Very clean and had all the amenities we need. The view was great on the marina side which is the way we faced. Great beaches within close walking distance. Its a bit of a walk to the main strip, which we did most days! But if you wish to catch public transportation its right out front. We would definately recommend and probably will end up here on our next visit. Nothing wrong with the 8th floor but curious of the views up higher.

I needed to find a place for my mother and godmother to stay while they were visiting for the first time in February. I liked the central location of the Ilikai, the non-crowded beaches out in front, the shopping, restaurants, we even rented a car right across street. I was happy because the room was guaranteed oceanfront and had two full beds, which the hotel couldn't guarantee me. The room was nice, cute, and clean. It had a little kitchen, full size fridge, and a beautiful view of the boat docks, sunset and ocean. I think my mother and godmother were pleased with my selection.

My mom and I rented unit #524 for 6 days and were very impressed! The unit looked exactly as it did in the photos and the room was very clean and well-stocked when we arrived. We were able to listen to Hilton luau each night from our lanai and enjoy a quick walk to the beach. I spent a lot of time researching other rentals online before going on our vacation and I am pleased that I booked at the Ilikai with Scott and his team. The rooms in the hotel are not nearly as nicely appointed and more expensive and across the street at the Hilton, they are twice the price, you have to pay a daily fee for internet and have no suites. I got all of this for far less than any other hotel on the strip and the location was perfect. You are just far enough away from all the action to walk quickly to locations and still enjoy the Waikaki experience. The Ilikai is definitely a landmark on the strip and the home of many "snowbirds" which is very evident if you spend a day by the pool. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely return. In fact, I recommended it to two people who we met who were angry to find out what we paid for our unit compared what they paid! Thanks for making a mother/daughter get-away more special!

Condo was good, a little dated but was more than adequate for our time in Waikiki. It could have been cleaner when we moved in, walls and the carpet need some attention, that would have been appreciated! Location was great, close to the beach and the main shopping areas.

This condo was exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen was fully-stocked, the beds were comfortable, we had full cable TV, a wii game system and a land-line for local phone calls. We were most impressed with the beach gear available, the things you dont think to bring (or cant) such as beach toys, boogie boards, snorkle gear, a cooler and beach towels. The glass doors to the balcony open half the length of the room and provide a view of waikiki from the 15th floor of the Pacific Monarch hotel, which is about 2 blocks from the beach. The only (minor) problem was that the elevator wait time was sometimes a little long in the morning when everyone was on thier way out for the day. The keys were waiting for us at the front desk when we got there. We undoubtedly stay here again next time!

Our room in Ilikai on the 23rd floor was amazing! We had breakfast at the lanai each morning, we let the cool hawaiian breeze at night instead of using AC, the kitchen was fully equipped and our view was absolutely phenomenal! We couldn't have asked for more and will definitely be back.

We stayed in unit 1722 overlooking the lagoon and ocean. After a full day of touring the island we would pick up our dinner at the mall down the road and sit on our lania and watch the activities down below. The Iliaki is just at the end of the Waikiki strip of hotels so the noise and nightlife quiet down so you can sleep. Waking in the morning and enjoying breakfast on the lania, watching the surfers and people on the beach was so relaxing, sometimes it was hard to leave the unit to go out. There is everything you need close by, including buses that take you everywhere on the island. This well appointed unit has great updates, the bed was super comfortable, air conditioning is new and top quality, internet connection, ipod clock radio. Kitchen is well equipt. dont miss out on this great location, worth every penny spent.

We arrived at 11 pm and checking in was as simple as punching a few digits into the keypad on our room door. The unit was exactly as pictured on the site. We had a beautiful view overlooking the ocean and lagoon. Friday nights they have a wonderful fireworks display, and the best spot to watch is right off the balcony. The location of the hotel is great just off the beach, and there are lots of amenities nearby. Short walk to the largest outdoor mall on the planet, and a nice stroll down the beach to Waikiki strip.We stayed for two weeks and would definitely stay at the Ilikai when visiting honolulu again, and we will recommend it to our friends.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ilikai in Honolulu.The unit was clean and sufficiently spacious. Everything advertised was provided, plus some extras. The Ilikai is under some renovations and the restaurant and bar and other additional facilities are just starting up. This did not have any reflection on the unit rented but, we had to go elsewhere for food and purchasing food supplies. The view from the unit was fantastic.

My boyfriend and I stayed in unit 2029 and it was great! The condo had tasteful decor, was a clean unit, and was an overall great location. We would say out of all the units choose the marina side if you have the choice because the view is better (sunsets)! If I come back to Waikiki in the future I will definitely remember to look up these rental units before any other place. Highly recommended- we had a great time!

It's simple, easy, accurate and when you reserve the unit you don't have to wait for a confirmation of availability, like some other. You reserve it, you have it. The unit are #1,very nice and clean. Pretty good value....parking should really be included in price for short-term stay. Facility: No pool...no fitness room...smells like cigarette smoke in hallway corridor even though it's a no smoking floor. Unit 3190IM: Time to change mattress on bed and sofa bed. Awesome remodeled bathroom and all outdoor gear included in condo...great view of boat harbor and ocean.

My family had a wonderful and remarkable time in Hawaii. We would start each morning with an eye-popping breakfast at the Plantation Café, where the food was ono-licious and the service was island friendly. After a fun, activity-filled afternoon on the beaches of the North Shore, we would always return to our clean and cool oasis at the Ala Moana Hotel. After a short rest, our kids would go swimming, while we relaxed in the warm sun and cool tropical breezes at the pool. At night, we would shop, and finally dine at one of the many restaurants at the nearby shopping center. Our condo really made our summer vacation unforgettable.

this unit was everything that i was told and saw photos of, very quite, very clean the bed was so comfortable, the bedding was so soft i wasted to take it home. loved the view at the very end of Waikiki beach so it was very quiet and worth the walk the market, we would stay there again but might spend a little more to be up higher and maybe facing the lagoon side where you had more ocean but a wonderful location as the beach looked private but was not and therefore not busy. the bottle of shampoo/ and bar of soap are not enough so just bring extra, and we missed having a blender to make cold drinks maybe blenders could be added to the units. other then that is was such a wonderful just beautiful will for sure be back to stay there again.

We found the condo to be very nice, it had all of the essential items you needed and was very clean. The location was great as it was at the end of Waikiki away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. The room had a good view to the ocean where you could watch the surfers. Overall was a very enjoyable place.

My family & I were floored when we walked into our unit & saw how nice it was. The view of the sunset from our balcony was beautiful. We were torn between wanting to go out & sightsee or just hang out in our room each day. Finally, on our last day, I sent the family out without me just because I wanted to stay behind & relax on the balcony. I can say our unit was well worth what we spent on it. It was decorated exactly how the pictures showed. We surely didn't want to leave & if we get to go back, we will for sure be staying at the Ilikai.

We, a family of three, arrived the condo at 4pm Saturday afternoon. We had hard time to find the right unit and the pre-assigned key code did not work. We called few time and got no one answered the phone. After about 30-40 min waiting on the hall way, we finally got an assistant to open the door. It was a mess, beds were not ready and the closet filled with dirty sheets. That was no good. However, the condo was beautiful and we can see the ocean and sun set. The price is very reasonable. My family spent good 6 nights there and will like to return in the future (hope the manager would do abetter job next time).

Our stay at unit 516 the first week of June 2010 couldn’t have been better. Once we figured out the parking situation, we were good to go. There’s construction on the harbor view side but since we had an ocean view, we hardly noticed it except when we were walking to the car. The value can’t be beat! I couldn’t believe how close the beach was. From looking at the pictures, I assumed that the cove was just for the Hilton. But when we got there, I learned that it was a state park so it was open to the public. It was a lot quieter and less crowded than the beaches in downtown Waikiki.

I was in Honolulu for work and it was such a please to stay in this condo. It was clean, nicely decorated and newly renovated. The kitchen was awesome, the view was fantastic and the fold out futon couch was comfortable. It was nice to have that each of us had our own bed. Will definitely stay again, maybe next time I'll bring my family.

Me and my boyfriend just stayed in this condo in Waikiki, and it was awesome! We had so much fun, and we were in such a good location! Everything was walkable. We went to the beach almost everyday, whichi was just right outside the front of the condo! The room itself was presented very well, and we liked it very much. There was a grocery store right across the street so we didn't have to go out every night, and the full kitchen was excellent for cooking for ourselves! We had a great time, would definitely stay there again

The codo was beautifully furnished, in an excellent location, and had a lot of extra upgrades and amenities that other family members who went thru the hotel in the same complex and same type of unit did not get. This is a great value if you want to be able to have a comfortable home type enviroment. The property environment was beautiful and generally peaceful. Parking in the back in the Marina parking lot was a value at $8.00 for a 24 hr. period. The owners Virginia and Ken were pleasant, very accomodating, and the represention of the property was accurate. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others!

We found the condo an excellent choice. I was worried about the condo being on the 31st floor but it was ok. (I do not like heights). The only problem we had was with the shower. NO water pressure at all.

I am so delighted we choose this property. Well situated, well appointed. The view was amazing and the lanai was a perfect size. The pictures were exactly what we saw when we opened the condo door. I have been to Hawaii five times before and I will never stay at another hotel. This was great value for the dollar and we enjoyed the flexibility of making our own meals which was a huge cost savings. I would not hesitate to recommend this property. We are already planning our stay for next year! Thanks for a great stay!!

The description of the room, view and facilites was very accurate. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to look after individual needs. Internet is free (most places charge $ 10.00/day). Great access to the beach/lagoon area. We are looking forward to several more returns to this place!!!

We stayed here for a week. It was just as pictured--very new, clean and well-decorated. The building is lovely and a very short walk to the beach and pool as well as shops and restaurants on the beach. We could see the Friday night fire-works from the deck. The only con--very, very little room for clothes. There's nothing at the condo for daily use--not even kleenex or salt/pepper. Also,I wish there was a shelf in the shower for hair products. All very minor things. On the whole, it was a great place to stay and would certainly reserve again.

We stayed almost a month at unit #516 Great views from the lanai of the lagoon and ocean. Nicely decorated,with newer appliances and LCD TV.A few suggestions for owner. Get a better coffee maker and toaster. Only major complant if any would be that this unit only had a closet to put our cloths in and no dresser, which easliy could be put in unit instead of a large mirror when there is already lots of mirrors in the bathroon. Room faced the wrong direction

The hotel was excellent, and the room was very nice but the advertisment claimed a veiw of the ocean or lagoon... well, that did not happen, in fact, i had the chance to stare at the 5000 cars an hour that travel the main road in front. If the condo does not face the direction of the ocean, then say so. But the facilities were very good.

We stayed at the Ilikai. We had a great family vacation there. We stayed on the 14th floor room 1412. We loved the view of the lagoon and the ocean. We parked at the Lagoon parking the machines are old and don't work the best. It was $6.00 a day and you could only use the old bills. but it was a good price. we love our stay and would stay again.

The room was clean and spacious but not a tradional 1 bedroom but a large studio. Its convinent to the beach but no beach front. The building itself is old and lacking in character but the room was nicely decorated. I would definitely stay again.

Decent location and price. Looked exactly like the picture. Reasonable place for a child (we brought our two year old). The beach was a 7 minute walk. The laundry facilities on this floor were not good (dryer didn't really work), maybe try another floor? Valet guys were really nice. The parking in the back was pretty minimal but wouldn't be a long walk. Overall this was a good place for good value.

As far as I'm concerned, having a condo with a kitchen is the only way to go in Hawaii. We had the marina (west) facing condo and enjoyed the sunsets and view over the marina that was shown at the beginning of each Gilligan's Island show. My cousin had a condo facing the lagoon on the other side of the building. Her room was always shaded (which can be nice) but we had the better view though it is a matter of preference. The wifi service was good and I was able to check Hawaii web sites, etc. (bring your own laptop). One drawback. Don't count on the front desk for good information. They won't tell you about the lower priced OVERNIGHT public parking behind the hotel and will direct you to more expensive operations though the front desk is not part of the condo company.

We just stayed in this condo for the past two weeks and it was really nice and very comfortable! The online photos were 100% accurate- The room was decorated beautifully, the location was awesome, and parking behind at the marina was only $6 daily. The bed was so comfortable and the view was great. A couple of quirks- Bring quarters if you plan on washing clothes- 2 per load in quarters only. Also there was zero storage in the bathroom, and the faucet spout was loose in the kitchen. Other than that all was great. I would recommend this condo to everyone! What a bargain compared the the overpriced hotels in the vicinity.

My sisters and I had a great time. It was wonderful to overlook the Ala Moana Beach Park where we all learned to swim. The location at the end of Waikiki is ideal because you don't get caught in the Waikiki traffic and can walk into Waikiki if you choose. The room, appliances and decor was very satisfactory. The only downside is that the room sleeps four but dining space, wine glasses and beach towels are really only set up for two.

The space is big enough for a small family. Beds are pretty hard. Had a few bad back days. No water pressure in showers. No cleaning service. The kitchen has everything you need. Washer/ Dryer a huge plus! They charge you $25 a day valet parking and you have to tip the guy every time you pull or drop off the car. So don't leave too many times in a day. Super close to the beach. Not "luxury" by any means, but livable for a week. SWARMING with timeshare salespeople. echk!

The first unit we got, the lanai door was broken and could not shut, thus the air conditioner would not work. I called Scott and he got us to another unit. The stay was OK. We had no extra toilet paper, paper towels, or Kleenex. We had to buy those ourselves. The safe was shut and unusable. We had to check out at 11, but there was no place to store our luggage until we left for the airport 3 hours later. There was only 1 extra pillow encased in plastic - no extra bedding for the couch. The best part was the view from the lanai. Overall we had a nice vacation. It would have been nice to have some of the basic things in the room (salt/pepper shakers, extra toilet paper, kleenex, paper towels, strainer for pasta and maybe some plastic mixing bowls).

This is excellent value when you consider its convenient location on the beach and the top quality of everything in the room. The views of the ocean and marina were superb with beautiful sunsets. Everything in the room had top quality, the finishings (all granite counters and stainless steel appliances), furniture (very modern and tasteful color scheme), bedding (down duvet and pillows and top grade cotton sheets), towels (Tommy Hilfiger). Even beach towels were provided, which was a nice to have. We had a great stay and would go there again at any time. The only downside is that most shops at the Ilikai have been closed due to the planned rennovations so there is not much going on at the hotel, compared to other hotels.
