We spent six nights at this one bedroom condo in Waikiki. This is the first time we have stayed right in the city and the experience was very good. We were able to walk to the beach (even some snorkeling), some of our favorite restaurants (we love Tiki's just down the street on the corner at Kalakaua), shopping. And of course, we were within 90 minutes or less to the beautiful Waimea Valley and North Shore by the coastal route and about 35-40 minutes to Kailua, and between there, Hawaii Kai/Portlock ( great restaurants), Makapu'u & Koko Head (hiking), Hanauma Bay (snorkeling) and Waimanalo with its beautiful beach. Though the condo is a bit dated, it is cute with the assortment of ukeleles on the wall, and is reasonably comfortable. Unfortunately, the quality of the mattresses, both in the bedroom and the sofa sleeper are pretty bad. Other than that, the condo is well supplied with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Nice dishes and glasses. The utensils, knifes, pans etc. are just okay. We do cook at least half of our meals in, so that matters to us. Four wine glasses rather than two would be nice as well as our son lives in Honolulu and spends time visiting with us . Just a note, there is no dishwasher, but no big deal. There are plenty of towels, bedding, etc. We were surprised at how loud the condo was when we tried to sleep with the windows open the first night, but thereafter, we closed it up and used the a/c and all was good. Beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards and a raft are all provided for beach fun. Sad for us, but good for other guests, we left our 2 sets of nice snorkeling gear there to make room in our suitcase for gifts. The rate for the condo is very reasonable for the budget conscious traveler and included a much appreciated parking pass (!!). The convenience of the location was great, so overall it was a very positive and happy experience.

We actually rented the condo on the 29th floor. Very nice view of Diamond head and the ocean. The condo itself was a little dirty and the vents and filter for the air conditioner really need to be cleaned or replaced. Overall for the price we paid this was an excellent place with a great location with a 5 minute walk to the beach. Shops and restaurants are everywhere.
