We enjoyed our stay enormously. Well appointed home with great views of the bay and a beach perfect for walking Fido within 20 yards of the front door. 21/2 year old grandson loved the top bunk (well designed with safety rails). Entry way and garage were perfect for storing wet weather gear after rainy outdoor adventures. Combination of beds and baths made 4 adult couples very comfortable. Only minor flaw was one or two of the stove elements didn't heat properly but engaged and responsive owner will no doubt have that quickly fixed. We didn't use the hot tub but it looked well maintained and ready to go. Would definitely rent again.

Costal Get Away

Stayed at the Alsea Bay Getaway near the end of September and again the first week of October 2 weeks total. The house worked out great for me and my friends , lots of space, large garage for us to store our stuff in, the neighbors were great and came out to see how our day was. The bedrooms were of great size with 3 full baths for the 4 bedrooms…. The kitchen has everything that we needed, there is this great dinning room table that everyone wanted to take home that seats 8 adults for dinner so you can tell stories and lies about the days adventures and past adventures. The great room layout keeps everyone in the same area either kitchen, dinning or lounging so no ones feels left out. This is a great place to stay close to everything that you will need for your beach adventure. I will be back again next year Thanks Doug.

My family and I were pleased with the location of the rental and easy access to the beach! I was amazed by the beautiful views. The only concern we had was that the hot tub was not working and a few frying pans needed to be tossed. Overall, I would recommend this place.

a family of 10- had a great time. the easy beach access from the deck to the soft white sand and lovely beach was perfect. i actually met a live seal on my morning walk on the beach. the spacious home allows for great family fun. and the location was central for many daytrips if desired.

Our family of 10 truly enjoyed our stay at the Alsea Bay Getaway. With 6 adults and 4 kids (9-16), there was plenty of space! The house is very inviting and comfortable. We never felt crowded with that many people! The foozball table, pingpong table,hot tub and the short walk to the beach kept the kids entertained!The location was great as we had things planned to do from Lincoln City to Florence! We had a fabulous time and the Alsea Bay Getaway will be a big part of our memories! We would stay here again!

Perfect for Families

Grandparents, grandchild, daughters and sons-in-law...a place that easily accommodated us all. We came from Southern California to a warm, inviting home that had something for all ages. Couldn't be more pleased with the amenities. To have a store so close made meal planning so easy. The large table to gather around was a plus...for meals and evening games.

Winter Holiday Family Coast Trip

My family of 10 had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the Alsea Bay Getaway House! We had a tiny bit of confusion finding the house, but once we got there everything was fantastic. The bonus for us was having the Rays grocery store about 2 blocks from the house, as we always forget something we need at home. The whole family enjoyed the open floor plan upstairs, and we all loved having the hot tub too! We will most definitely come back again soon =D

This was a fabulous vacation spot! We had a great 4th vacation with family and friends! We could cook some incredible meals in the kitchen. It was a short walk to shopping and the beach. We saw the fireworks on the 3rd shot over the bay! We definitely want to come back!

For some flatlanders from Reno and Colorado, this was truly a wonderful getaway for all. The home was lovely--clean and inviting. We enjoyed being close to Heceta Lighthouse, quiet picnic areas, and especially the aquarium at Newport.

Fantastic for families, luxurious for adults!

This beautiful, practically new house was the perfect getaway for our family of four and my sister's family of five. The kids had plenty of room to be kids and lots of games to play. We adults had room to cook together in the amazing kitchen and adored the house's cleanliness, the quality of abundant linens, and the attention to detail that makes this house elegant and comfy. The pictures don't show the beautiful huge dining table that we especially loved. Each family had the privacy of their own floor and everyone slept in comfy beds in bedrooms. On the downside, the neighbors are really close, the spa is not private and the view isn't great. The comfort of the house compensates for these imperfections. Also, the bay beach is just across the street. Ray's supermarket is 2 blocks away and has just about everything you need. The dock and shops are in easy walking distance too. You aren't isolated from Waldport like you are in Bayshore. I recommend this house strongly as a great value.

Great Fishing Getaway

My fiancee and I arrived at this house on a Thursday after a round of polite, professional emails between the owners and I. This rental was easy to book and Lisa was a pleasure to work with. The house was more than we could have asked for, with immaculate rooms, wonderfully bright and cheery decor (I was looking for more Pier 1 Imports versus my-grandmother-went-crazy-with-the-beach-and-coral decor). We were there to fish the Alsea and Yaquina Bays and found this house to be the perfect spot - a mere 2 1/2 blocks from the Alsea boat launch. It was incredibly comfortable and so nice to be able to put our day's catch in a full size refridgerator, have a garage for our gear, and a nearby moorage for our boat. And after a full day of fishing, we cooked our dinner, enjoyed a glass of wine while watching the view of the bay and relaxed our sore muscles in the hot tub. While just as lovely for a family to stay, this house was perfect for our fishing getaway and we look forward to making this an annual trip. Thanks Lisa and Alan...
