Clara's Cottage is a beautiful Historic 1901 Victorian home with all the modern conveniences located on a quiet residential street lined with large, old growth trees. It is an ideal setting for friends and family who want to wine taste in the world renown Walla Walla area, participate in one of the local University(s) events, or just stroll through the beautiful parks and quaint downtown areas located within walking distance from the home.
Clara's cottage has all the amenities to enjoy a relaxed in-home vacation or a place to rest, eat and sleep as you take in all the Walla Walla sites. The house is beautifully decorated with Victorian themed furniture and is beautifully landscaped with an English Garden. It is 1 block from Pioneer Park, 10 blocks from Historic Downtown and multiple Wine Tasting Rooms.
Walla Walla, Washington is the up and coming "Napa Valley" as many wine experts say. It boasts over 120 wineries ranging from Large, world renown wineries like Canoe Ridge to small boutique wineries tha offer a varietals only made in Walla Walla.
It is also a very charming "old town" feeling when walking down the historical neighborhoods that are unique in each block. The beautiful Pioneer Park is just 1 block from Clara's Cottage where kids can play or just have a romantic picnic. The Old Growth Maple trees make for an amazing Fall colors retreat with plenty of sunshine and warmth.
Walla Walla also has a two very progressive hospitals, some unique shopping opportunities, hunting and fishing very close by. Whitman College and Walla Walla University are two of the countries top rated colleges. Walla Walla Community College is known for its degrees in Wine Agricultural Management.
Its a terrific place to go for a friends to gather for some fun and/or family get-away.

There seems to be an invisible protective area around the home where the cares of the day are not allowed to invade this sanctuary.
With careful attention to detail in the selection & placement of so many interesting items around this home, it feels like Grandma is just in the other room. And speaking of rooms, they are all quite well apointed for their individual purpose.
While we certainly enjoyed the feeling of being in a Victorian Era Home, we also appreciated not having to prepare our meals on a wood stove. It was so nice to melt into the large couch and watch a bit of TV or just relax and read a good book.
The way this home is set up made us feel as if we were transported back to a familiar place in time. To a more simple & much less demanding time. Even before we walked through the front door, we could tell this was a special place & before we had been here very long at all, we knew we would want to make it a repeat destination.
The only part we did not like was that we had to leave all of this behind after our time here was over. We were pleasantly pleased at the great value we got for the price we paid, not to mention the renewing relaxation we got from our stay at Clara's Cottage.
Of the several other places of this kind where we have stayed, this is far & away our favorite. We are very much looking forward to the next time we can come back this special home.
