Description of the Walnut Grove vacation cottage rental
Waterfront California Delta cottage with loft great for a famiy or group of up to 6 persons. Dock space available right in front, on Steamboat Slough. We're near Rio Vista on easily accessed Ryer Island. Cute Cape Cod style home isfully furnished with queen bed and sleeper futons, full kitchen, full baths and loft has great sleeping mats. Perfect place for family reunions and definately kid and pet-friendly! Sandy swim beach, onsite store and gas dock, quiet and shady Snug Harbor setting. Over 30 unique restaurants nearby to boat to or drive to. Within 45 minutes of historic Sacramento, Marine World, Western Railway Museum, Vacaville Outlets and the San Francisco Bay area. Boat and WaveRunner rentals nearby. Stores and shopping in Rio Vists 10 minutes away. Ride a ferry for free to Ryer Island where we are! Or use the bridge route from Sacramento or Elk Grove areas. We're located in an adorable friendly delta community called Snug Harbor that has been featured in shows like Bay Area Backroads.
California Delta region has over 1000 miles of waterways to explore including the Sacramento River, San Joaquin River, Steamboat Slough, Cashe Slough and others. Water sports in the area include water ski, wakeboard, swimming, canoeing, boating, and windsurfing down towards the southern end of the delta. There are over 300 restaurants to boat to in the entire delta region and about 30 are within 15 to 30 minutes of Snug Harbor, by boat. Our waterfront rental unit is family and pet friendly.

Boat and Seado rentals, bird watching, watch the beaver and river otter early mornings along with the fresh water turtles sunning on the logs in some coves. Great place for families and pets. Private swim beach right by rental unit.
