Half hour to Woods Hole, home of Steamship Authority Ferries to Martha's Vineyard. Just about 1 hour to Boston, Providence & Provincetown! Pinehurst Beach Association is a beautiful salt water inlet peninsula in the heart of Wareham Village. Offers dining, shopping and saltwater fishing close by.
Great location for families of Massachusetts Maritime Cadets. No bridges to cross - No traffic! Close proximity to Providene, RI - home of the famous & beautiful water fires on the river! Have pizza in Federal Hill, then head to the river for a romantic gondola ride by the water fires! Newport & Bristol, RI @ 45 minutes away. Tour the mansions rich in history at beautiful Newport, RI or go take a leisurely stroll through Bristol's quaint down town. Close by is Plymouth, MA-home of Plimouth Plantation, the Mayflower, Plymouth Rock and a vibrant downtown & waterfront, always fun, day & night!! 25 minutes to Woods Hole, home of the Steamship Authority. Take the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard for the day! The ferry ride is almost as much fun as the island :) 1 HR drive to Provincetown, a beautiful artsy community, home to many Portuguese fishing fleets. Great food, sights & entertainment. Don't forget to climb to the top of the monument! It's worth the beautiful 360 degree view! Falmouth has a great downtown for shops, walking & dining. Chatham is a very quaint Cape Cod town too. Both @ 30 minutes away.
So there's ALWAYS a fun excursion waiting, or grab a beach chair, sunscreen and a book, and take the few steps to beautiful, quiet Pinehurst Beach and RELAX!! Call Marc Anthony's to deliver a pizza, side order of eggplant parmigiana and Greek salad, and call it a day!!!!! If you bring bikes, there's the Shining Sea Bike Trail in Falmouth, the Cape Cod Rail Trail down cape and don't forget minutes away, beautiful Cape Cod Canal for fishing, biking, roller blading, running, walking or just sitting in a chair for a picnic lunch and enjoy the view! Catch the train bridge coming down in Buzzards Bay or a large ship coming through the canal! Concerts on the green in Onset, Buzzards Bay and many other Cape Cod towns.

A: Yes! Bring your kayak, paddle board or wind surfer, OR stop at Eastern Mountain Sports in Buzzards Bay and rent!
Our cottage is literally a stones throw from Pinehurst Beach, a perfect location for beginners and experienced to enjoy water sports.
Q: Is there any night life near Pinehurst Beach?
A: Yes! Just a few miles away, at Onset Beach Pier is the famous Canal Cruises. Take advantage of a fun sunset cruise, a dinner and dancing cruise, or a family friendly make your own "Ice Cream Sunday" cruise along the Cape Cod Canal!
Also, take advantage of free local outdoor summer concert series at nearby Buzzards Bay Park, or Onset Band Stand.
Q: Is there any good bike riding trails nearby?
A: Yes! Bring your bikes and take a ride along Cape Cod Canal, or take the Shining Sea Bike Trail, through the scenic town of Falmouth. There's also the Cape Cod Rail Trail which starts in South Dennis, and takes you on 22 miles of paved trails all the way to Wellfleet! If you've got bikes, we've got safe riding trails! There's also bike rentals in Buzzards Bay.
Q: What day trip suggestions are easily accesible from Pinehurst Beach?
A: Get up early and head for Woods Hole, Falmouth and hop on the Island Queen Boat to Martha's Vineyard. Bring your bikes or buy a bus pass once on the island. Or, hop in your car and head for Route 6 towards Provincetown, home of famous artists and one of New England's oldest Portuguese fishing villages. For a more scenic route, take Route 6A-Old Kings Highway-to see quintessential cape cod style architecture, all the way down to the Orleans rotary and keep going until you hit Provincetown! Great food, shops and sights to see. Climb Pilgrim Monument for spectacular views!
Either trip is easily done in a day, with plenty of time to enjoy sights and be back to the cottage to comfortably settle in for the night.
