Why we love the log cabin
The moment we walked into the log cabin we fell in love. The chef’s oven made us dream of pancakes in the summer and hot brownies in the winter time. To sit at the kitchen table in the morning with a cup of coffee and the newspaper while watching the boaters or ice fisherman is truly unforgettable.
The large open family room with the log beams, stone fireplace and log staircase to the loft is made for family gatherings. Everyone enjoys the warmth of the fireplace and the embracing charm of the room.
The bedrooms are meant for slumbering in. They are cozy and inviting for curling up with a good book.
The large bathroom has a tub made for a spa! How often do you see a tub that long? It is the perfect ending to a day on the ski slopes (family friendly Mt. Peter is just 10 minutes away). The European style shower with its seat is ideal for a refreshing shower after a long day in the sun.
The patio with Adirondack chairs is a wonderful place to relax in the late afternoon and take in the view of the lake, watch neighbors walking their dogs and meandering home from a day on the beach or boat. Keep dog biscuits on hand for the friendly visitors who run up the stairs to say hello!
There isn’t anything more magical than spending a snowy day in a log cabin with the fireplace burning and hot chocolate on the stove. It’s what you remember from childhood stories. Log cabins were built for partnering with the environment - a marriage between the cabin and the natural outdoors.

We rented this home for the preparation, wedding day and to recuperate from our daughters wedding. The house was perfect, comfortable, charming and had everything we needed. All the bridesmaids were able to get ready here, photographer took lots of pictures, can't wait to see them. After wedding we have been able to relax, the view of the lake is beautiful at sunset. We had our sons over for a BBQ to talk about the wedding, it's been great. Thank-You to Lorna and her family for allowing us to rent this gem of a house.
