Description of the Washington vacation apartment rental

Property is located in Beautiful Capitol Hill within blocks of many shops, stores, restaurants. It is 3 blocks from the Famous Eastern Market and metro station. Less than 1/2 mile from most all of the museums the Capital/ Supreme Court/ and the Library of Congress, highways, parks, memorials etc. The neighborhood is a safe and residential site within the city. This unit is capable of sleeping 28 people. It features a kitchen with dishwasher, stove, disposal, refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster oven. The master bedroom Sleeps 2 people in a queen bed, contains dresser and mirror and closet, and TV. 2nd bedroom sleeps 2-3 people and contains a twin over full bunk bed. 3rd bedroom sleeps 2 people and contains a full size bed and dresser and mirror. 4th bedroom sleeps 4-6 people and contains 2 bunk beds that are twin over full sized beds. Sofa bed in the 2nd living room. This unit listed is only half of the whole unit. It can be split in half and the center door locked like an hotel suite. Two seperate units downstairs. THE COST FOR THE WHOLE UNIT IS $600.00 per day.

Within blocks of historic Barracks Row, located on 8th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and M Street, SE, this is a popular attraction for both locals and tourists. It is a commercially vibrant area of Capitol Hill with 152 businesses thriving in this busy part of the federal city including restaurants, outdoor cafes, shops, theatres and so much more. The Tour of Duty Heritage Trail is a self-guided tour, interpreting the history of 8th Street, Marine Barracks, Navy Yard, the south side of Capitol Hill and the Eastern Market. Follow the trail on your own or with the help of a tour brochure, available at various locations. Marine Barracks Washington is located in the heart of Barracks Row and offers free performances every Friday night from May through August. Navy Yard is located on the south end of Barracks Row. Public entrance is at the 9th and M Streets Gate. The Navy Museum holds a large collection of maritime history and artifacts. This building is in the midst of the city, close to everything!

Great for a weekend in DC, April 7, 2009

Great place to stay for a weekend in DC. It is on 4 stops away from 'The Mall' and the museums/monuments. We felt at home and there was no outrageous cleaning that was required. One thing to note, there was not any extra toilet paper or dish washing soap. Fortunately there was a Safeway grocery store nearby so it was not too much of an inconvenience.

We (two adults, a 13 year old and a 4 year old) very much enjoyed our stay here.It is much more spacious than the average holiday let - with dining room, kitchen and living room downstairs and three good sized bedrooms up. There is even a small garden - complete with resident squirrels. Everything was clean and freshly painted, the kitechen well equipped. (Small quibble - we only found one tea towel.) There is some noise carried over from the neighbours. The air conditioning provides welcome respite from the heat and noise of the city. The Circulator bus which stops just outside is fantastic, runs very frequently and takes you to the many, manty attractions around the Mall and beyond for just a dollar each.

Nice apartment, very clean. Beds were comfortable. Close to Metro and grocery. Very quiet neighborhood. TV very small, and there is only one, however a DVD player is provided. Don't count on the washer/dryer. It would be nice if owners could direct you to a laundrymat close by. We had 5 adults and found it comfortable.
