This is a lovely, 2 story, 3 BR, 2 BA house in one of the best locations in Washington, DC. The house is red brick with a slate roof, built in the 1940's with a center hall floor plan. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths upstairs, includes a large master bedroom with its own master bath. Downstairs is a living room with fireplace and 51" HDTV, a separate dining room, kitchen and screened back porch overlooking a large, fenced back yard with BBQ grill.
Even though the house is close to downtown, if you are bringing a car, there is no problem parking right in front of the house.

Area Description

The neighborhood is one of the most sought after in the city. It is quiet and safe and yet is close to downtown. The house is only 2&1/2 blocks off Connecticut Ave. where there is a chic commercial area with shops and restaurants, grocery and drug store, 5 banks, a restored vintage movie theater, Ben & Jerry's, Starbucks, deli., etc.
The house is also only 6 blocks from the Friendship Heights Metro station (Red Line). Friendship Heights also has some of the best shopping in the city, especially high end shopping, but it really has everything from TJ Maxx to Tiffany's. The walk to Friendship Heights is a pleasant walk through a pretty and safe neighborhood, with a Starbucks and deli. on the way, but if you don't want to walk, there is a bus, just steps from the house, which gets you to Metro in 5 min.
You couldn't ask for a better neighborhood than this one. The neighborhood is known as upper northwest, also called Chevy Chase, DC (not to be confused with Chevy Chase, Maryland). The house has a market value of close to $1 million because of its location.

The house adjacent to Rock Creek Park, is almost walking distance to the National Zoo and is convenient to all the treasures of the Nation's Capital, monuments, Smithsonian museums, Capitol building, White House, etc.
