Area Description

Snowed Inn is located between historical Palmer and Wasilla, home of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race Headquarters. The Matanuska Valley is a pristine area with a wealth of activities. You can visit the Musk Ox farm, the Reindeer Farm or Independance Mine. See beaver working on their lodge as you take an easy hike up Gold Mint trail. You can experience Denali on a flight seeing tour from Talkeetna. Go ice climbing on the Matanuska Glacier. Experience the exilleration of skydiving. Take a jet boat up the Knik Glacier or go salmon fishing on the Little Susitna River. All of this a short drive from the Inn
