Next to Iditarod Racing Headquarters

Welcome to "Alaska Cabin Rentals". We are located within the city limits of Wasilla Alaska just two miles from the center of town. We live here on site in the main log house which is up front and has a sign that say's "Elgee Home". The Iditarod Headquarters in just across the street from us. Many of our customers tour the Headquarters and take sled dog rides which are offered in the summer. The two rental cabins are behind the main house and are rented throughout the year.
Private Log Cabins- in that you don't have to share with others you don't know. All the buildings on our property are from logs that we logged and milled ourselves here in Alaska. We logged most of these trees from mitigation work done on Elmendorf Airforce Base. We own the Alaska Birch Syrup Company and it is located on the property too. We make pure Birch Syrup from birch trees at this location each spring. Birch syrup is made exactley the same as maple syrup. Our syrup is sold in most of the large chain box stores here in Alaska.
The bike path runs in front of the property along side S. Knik
Goose Bay Road.
Lake Lucille Campground is just down the road and many of our customers take the long walk to it. That's the lake where former Governor Palin lives. Just look for a an extremley large fence and you may see her house across the lake.
Two Log Cabins available. We wanted to create that fantasy people have about rustic Alaska log home but have all the comforts of a warm cozy cabin too.

Knik Goosebay Road is in front of our property along with a paved bike path that runs in front of the property. This bike path runs for several miles down S. Knik Goosebay Rd out of town. Lake Lucille camp ground is down the road from our location. Lake Lucille is where former Governor Palin lives. I heard a rumor you can see Russia from that lake. We are in the city limits of Wasilla just two miles from the center of Wasilla. The Iditarod Headquarters is across the street from us and is where the Musher's go to sign up each year for the great race to Nome Alaska. The Historical Iditarod Headquarters is one of Alaska's Top Tourist destination. We also have our Business at this location called the "Alaska Birch Syrup Company,LLC" We make Pure Birch Syrup from Birch Trees each spring just like they make Maple Syrup.
