Description of the Watch Hill vacation home rental

This 1855 home has been totally refurbished with a gourmet kitchen which includes a seating area and fireplace. Off of the kitchen is a large deck with lounge chairs and a table for outdoor meals. A formal dining room opens to a solarium. The first floor also has a study with a fireplace. A screened patio provides additional space for bug free evenings.
The second floor has three bedrooms and two full baths. The master bedroom is quite large with a cathedral ceiling and sitting area.
The basement area has a laundry room and a recreational room with a pool table.

There are window units for air conditioning, which is rarely needed due to the ocean breezes.

The house, which was originally known as the Pendleton House, belonging to Capt. Pendleton, is part of the original Everett Farm. The history of the house and farm are published in a book entitled, "Watch Hill Through Time."
It is now called "Fairsigh" 240 Watch Hill Road.
The house is in walking distance (a block) to East Beach, a beautiful barrier beach, and the Village. You can hear the ocean, the fog horn and the clang of the marker cans in the harbor.

All needed beach parphanalia is provided.

Area Description

Watch Hill is a district of Westerly RI located on a peninsular that is boardered by the Atlantic Ocean and Long Island Sound.
Watch Hill boasts beautiful beaches - East Beach and Napatree Point are favorites. Both have white sand and stretch for several miles. The town has a small New England seacoast village with shops and restaurants overlooking Watch Hill Harbor.
Boating is very popular. Charters are available for visitors
Watch Hill located only 45 minutes from Newport and is an easy day trip to make.
If casinos are of interest, Foxwoods and the Mohegan Sun are within an hour away.
