Area Information

Ossippe Lake is rated by the State of Maine as one of the top five lakes for water quality and clarity. The white sand bottom on our beach reflects the sun and warms the water temp to the 80's in August.

Rentals include usage of shared canoes, outdoor fire pits and fully equiped kitchens. We have an on site laundry. We rent 12' boats with 9.9 HP motors for $185/wk. If you have your own boat dock space is included in the cottage rental.

45 Min, from Portland Jet port. 45 Min, to the white Mountians. Mount Washington one hour, fun town and splash town 35 Min.

Golfing in town and lots of golf courses close by.

wonderful vacation

wonderful property, little noisy with traffic but loved the set up. Place had character, nice beach area for all, boat slips, grounds are well cared for and very pleasant. Would have liked a gas grill but that takes nothing away from our experience. Property owners very very nice. We hope to make it a tradition.

Beautiful and Relaxing

This was the most beautiful place to stay for our first time to Maine. We were right on the lake. We could fish, swim, row a boat, go out on the lake in a small motorboat and just enjoy the lake. The cottage was peaceful, relaxing, had beautiful views and I would recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking for a beautiful place to visit. We were out and about every day with lots to do within an hour away. We already want to return back!

A Family Reunion

In August 2007, our family (eleven persons)rent two cottages for one week and it was a happy and relax vacation for everyone. We were charmed by the spirit of these old houses and really had all the space needed. The children LOVED the lake and everything around it, especially fishing and canoeing. We went to the ocean a couple of times but they were always in a hurry to come back to the cottages!The small restaurant at the corner of the street permitted to the adults to taste all kind of coffees, making a good start for the day.Only one thing to improve: the heat go up and stay in the bedrooms, making the nights difficult in the hot part of the summer.
