There is no need to drive anywhere. Our cottage is within walking distance to the Village of Wayne, which features the General Store (for provisions), a Post office, Tubby's famous ice cream and take-out, and the Saturday Farmers market. Tennis courts and the library are but a short walk.

The 2 bedroom cottage, located on private Bellafonda Road, sleeps 4 (1 double bed and 2 twins), and was completely renovated in 2011. Laundry center and linens are included. The 28 foot wall of windows features 180 degree unobstructed views of Lake Pocasset, where you can enjoy swimming, fishing, birding, and boating. Outdoor amenities include deck, outdoor seating, a 20 foot dock, 100 feet of shoreline, a canoe and kayak.

Of course, if you wish to explore beyond the village, Summer Theater, restaurants, hiking, golfing, antiquing and more are within a 30 Minute drive.

Wayne is a small community with fewer than 1500 residents and a short 20 miles from the the State capital of Augusta. Tubby's Ice Cream is a local landmark. For theater enthusiasts, The Theater at Monmouth , only 15 minutes away, offers fresh and exciting approaches to Shakespeare and other classic plays during July and August through professional productions in rotating repertory. Hollowell,only 21 miles away, is a historic town on the Kennebec River with a large number of antique shops and the well known Slate's restaurant
