Description of the Weatherford vacation guesthouse rental

The Retreat is for those seeking the ambience of a hotel while experiencing the privacy of a family home. The Retreat offers up a quiet, secluded, romantic, even spiritual setting. Guests leave The Retreat confirming that their stay was relaxing, renewing, and celebratory.

Only one party stays at The Retreat at a time. Three well appointed bedrooms with luxury linens, two hideaway beds, and 3.5 baths accommodate up to ten guests.

The kitchen and living areas are fully equipped and suitable for gatherings of two to a full family reunion. A large screen tv and wireless internet allow for access to the outdoor world...only if you must!

Trellised decks, outdoor grill, courtyard and water fountain, pool and spa, and a canopy of trees await peaceful and reflective outdoor time.

Families with small children will find The Retreat a difficult place to fully relax. There are two open stairwells inside the house and there is no enclosure around the pool. For these reasons regrettably families with small children are discouraged.

Area Information

The Retreat is located on the edge of the North Texas Hill Country between Weatherford and Mineral Wells and is adjacent to Clark Gardens. A stay at The Retreat includes access to this magical 35 acre botanical park. Nearby is the Mineral Wells State Park with 20+ miles of Rails to Trails suitable for biking or hiking and water sports within the park. The town of Weatheford proudly boasts one of the loveliest courthouses in Texas and is a grand shopping locale for all things western, vintage, and antique. Mineral Wells is the home of The Famous Water Company and maintains its history and lore of a past in its downtown buildings. This area of Texas is home to horse lovers of all kinds from cutting to rodeo. Drive the back roads in the area and enjoy ranches and training facilities of all kinds. Possum Kingdom Lake is a short 45 minute drive. Area eateries range from burgers and beer joints to savory Texas bbq, tex-mex, and fine dining. The area is serviced by fine small airport. The municipal airport at Mineral Wells is only ten minutes away.

Deposits: A one night's deposit is required to hold the reservation. Upon check-in a $500 refundable deposit is required.
Payment Options: Cashier's Check, Discover, Mastercard, Money Order, Visa
Other Fees: A cleaning fee of $100 may be assessed if the guests leave the home in unusually messy and dirty condition. For stays longer than four days a cleaning fee of $100 is assessed and our housekeeper of 20 years will do a general cleanup of the facility during your stay. There is a three night minimum stay for Holiday weekends. All holidays are booked at the full rate of $500/night. A fee of $500 will be assessed if furniture is moved!

Superb Retreat!!

My family loved this awesome secluded home at Clark Gardens near Mineral Wells. The short walk to the Gardens, the pool and hot tub, the unbeliveable space was just what a family needs to get away and relax. All the amenities were provided for cooking and the recreation was outstanding. I will asure you, we will be back!!! Also, pet friendly!!
