Greatest Getaway Ever

What a beautiful house and Pauline such a woungerfull lady I was so worried about our dog Riley she broke her chain twice and pauline was so nice about it thankgoodness she came home to the river house .The house was so nice you felt like you were home the view from the back was beautifull just wish it wouldnt have been so cold we didnt get the chance to do any fishing we did go out in our canoe took the dog with use was great cant say enough abuot how clean and and comforable the house was and i sleept so good the bed was so comfortable we defently will tell all our friends and hope to get back their with our children and grandchildrenthey will love it and so much to do hicking and the other coast so close . Pauline you we a dear and so gracious hope to see you soon .And Happy New Year

My son and I came to stay at "Pauline's Paradise" while on a Hog Hunting trip and it was truly a paradise! Ms. Dunn is the epitome of a charming and genteel hostess. The "River House" is a lovely accomodation with all the comforts of home. We fished and crabbed from the dock each day and were delighted with the fare from the St. John's River. The house is situated within easy driving distance of Daytona, St. Augustine and Orlando. It was well worth the drive.

My husband and I take a trip In June every year for our wedding anniversary and this year our 13th, we discovered Pauline's Paradise. Miss Pauline is the sweetest lady you could ever meet. We stayed for a week in the River House, which was really spacious and cozy. The kitchen has all the utensils and cookware that you need. My husband had brought all kinds of grilling gear and didn't use any of it. He had never crabbed before and had a good time catching crabs with miss Pauline's traps. She taught him how to bait them up. We caught fish every day... Bluegill, redbreasted brim and catfish. We caught shiners off the dock to use for live bait. The view from the house and dock are absolutely beautiful. We took our boat and them had trouble with it on the third day so we just fished from the dock and still caught fish. It was the most paid back relaxing vacation that we have ever taken. Will definitely be a return guest. Would like to go for just long weekends even. Really nice!

We stayed in the house that Miss Pauline has at this location. It was clean, the beds comfortable, and the view was outstanding. Like being in another time and so relaxing. Miss Pauline is a sweet heart and makes sure every one is happy. The fishing was excellent. We caught 15 in a few hours, not far from the house. Thanks again, Pauline.

My wife and I stayed for a week and had the best time. As the other reviewers stated, the house is very nice, kitchen fully equipped with everything you would want, and a nice comfortable bed. Pauline is a sweetheart. We would love to come back and stay again. Rented a boat just down the road at Bass World every day. Pick it up in the morning, come back to the house, take off fishing and cruising for the day and have the boat back to the marina by 5. This made a most enjoyable vacation. And, our favorite part- Sitting on the dock every evening watching the sunset. Thanks Pauline. Hope to see you in the future. Paulines Paradise

Our stay was more than we anticipated, Paulines home was very comfortable, clean and the kitchen was stocked with all the appliances and cookware you needed. The view from the dock was breath taking, we were able to dock our 22' boat. We have been going to various places on the St Johns river for the past 5 years for the Thanksgiving holiday, and have not found a nicer place than this. We enjoy the fishing, which was exceptional this trip. Lots of crappie, blue gill, and bass. If you are looking for some tranquility and beauty, this is the place. Pauline is a very southern hospitable host, who wants to make sure your stay is what you expected or more. We hope to make this our annual trip.

After a wonderful weekend, both my husband and I want to get away again. Being right on the water in a comfortable house with western views, along with sightings of eagles and other wild life make this place very special. Bring your boat, your favorite company and celebrate life. Pauline is close by, if you need anything, and doesn't get offended if you ask for privacy. She is a delightful person and the River House truly is "Pauline's Paradise".

Have to say it was one of the nices cottages on water we ever stead in. Every year we pick a differant place on water. This was so relaxing. Pauline the owner is a gem. We were given a homemade pie & a cake. Also she shared a watermelon with us. We enjoyed being out on the dock fishing & just telling stories with her. Were it is located you can go to St. Augstine, Flager Beach, Daytona Beach. Your pretty close to alot of areas. If you want peace & Quiet, plus some fishing call Pauline. We had a great time. Great place to stay

My wife and I spent a week at Pauline's riverfront home. It was nicely decorated, very comfortable and very clean. There are windows across the back of the house that faces the river giving you a great view. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you might desire and the beds are comfortable. There is a pub less than a mile away that has very good food. Within 5 miles there are another two fine restaurants, one upscale and slightly pricey but the food is great and plentiful. I always want to know about fishing so here goes. We fished from the dock and caught fish every day, around 35 - 40 during the week along with 19 keeper crabs. There are two traps at the house although we caught most of the crabs on a fishing rod baited with a small dead fish (you just have to net them before they hit the surface or they will drop off and reel them in slowly). We didn't get up early to fish or stay out late and most days we did not fish the full day. There are huge catfish and my tackle was not heavy enough to bring them in. The dock is covered which protected us from the rain and sun and generally there was a nice breeze. The dock can house two boats and has lifts. Pauline was very friendly and helpful with all our needs.

Wonderful weekend

My husband and I stayed here for our 7th wedding anniversary weekend. We brought our boat and had the best time boating the St John's River and Lake George. It has a very nice dock with two boat slips. The house was estremely clean with plently of linens and the kitchen has everything you could imagine in it. Pauline is the nicest lady, she dropped by on our final night of our stay with a homemade lemon cake that she baked for us. The most peaceful place we have ever stayed, and the "River Cottage" was immaculately clean and very comfortably decorated.. We enjoyed fishing off the pier, and caught a wide variety of fish. It's often hard to find the perfect vacation rental, but we certainly found a little piece of Heaven when we found the River House. The sunsets were amazing, different each day. The house was furnished beautifully with all the needed ammenities. The owner, Pauline, is a jewel. She is someone you will love forever and she certainly knows how to make you feel welcome and loved. I would highly recommend this rental.

This place is serene, peaceful, beautiful, clean, huge. Wonderful place to fishing. Pauline is the cutest little lady you'd ever meet. We wanted to adopt her!!!!We didn't stay there because we had too many people but plan to in the future.
