Wellborn is located 12 miles due West of Lake City and 12 miles due East of Live Oak. We are 3/10 mile North of Hwy 90 and 4 miles South of I-10 on County Road 137.
Our location is central to Gainesville, 45 minutes South; Valdosta, Ga 45 minutes North; Jacksonville 1.5 hours East; and Tallahassee 1.5 hours West.
Wellborn in part of the largest area for Natural Springs and Cave Diving in the WORLD. Within 20-30 minute drive you can tube, canoe or kayak the Ichetucknee, Suwannee or Santa Fe Rivers. Excellent clamming can be found at Steinhatchee, about 3 hours West on the Gulf of Mexico.
In the Spring the Olustee State Park holds a Civil War Reenactment and Fair. Year-round the Suwannee Music Park, in Live Oak, hosts live concerts and the Stephen Foster State Park, 20 minutes away in White Springs, hosts fairs, festivals, pottery and other lessons, Christmas light drive-through and more.
