Description of the Wellfleet vacation cottage rental

A South facing 800+ square foot Cape Cod style 2 level home (1st and 2nd floors, no basement) with lots of windows, sliders, & decks. The Little Neck comfortably accommodates up to 5 people and is about 30 steps to the beach. Our private bay beach has relatively warm water, gentle waves, and no riptides to worry about.

Great place for kids. Explore the adjacent Cape Cod National Seashore, listen to the birds sing, walk to Great Island at low tide, swim or kayak there at high tide, collect shells, swim, relax, at night - watch the moon over the water, listen to the waves.

One easy to use sit-on-top ocean kayak is included in the rental.

Layout: 1st floor: Rear bedroom with queen bed. Front bedroom with 2 twin beds. 1st floor front open den with futon convertible. Full bathroom. Outdoor shower. Deck in back.
2nd floor: Open layout kitchen/living/dining area with full water view. Futon sofa convertible. Flat screen HD TV with DVD. Free broadband wireless internet. Fully equipped kitchen. Full bathroom (shower, no tub). Front deck with gas grill, table, chairs overlooking the water.

Weekly rates are $900 - $2,750. Summer is by the week only, Saturday to Saturday. Spring and Fall are flexible. Please inquire for a rate quote and for more photos and info.

Area Information

Chequessett Neck - Wellfleet - about 30 steps to the beach. Our private 'Sea Shells' bay beach has gentle waves, and warmer water. And no riptides. Great beach for all ages to swim, relax and explore. Across from Great Island, part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Explore by foot or by kayak. Sailboat rental available too. The Little Neck is part of an 'olde Cape Cod' cottage colony known as 'the Sea Shells.' Walking distance to Wellfleet's seaside golf course. About 1 mile to Wellfleet Pier and Mayo Beach (on TripAdvisor's Top 10 U.S. Family Beaches list, the only 1 in New England). 1 mile to a small playground. 1 mile to the historic fishing village of Wellfleet. Wellfleet's ocean beaches are 5 miles away. Our Sea Shells' beach is a calm and clean bay beach. It is similar to Mayo, but private, quiet and closer to Great Island. A 25 minute walk along the beach brings you to Wellfleet Pier. There you will find 3 restaurants, picnic tables for the take-out window (burgers, fried clams, ice cream), boat rentals and boat excursions. Walking down the beach in the other direction brings you to the Chequessett Yacht & Country Club where sailing lessons are offered. Continuing on this beautiful walk you reach the mouth of the Herring River where it's possible to watch the sun set over the "Gut," a dramatic spit of sand joining 2 former islands.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Neck and can't wait to go back! The cottage was spotlessly clean upon our arrival and it just got better from there. Amazing views, great beach and everything you need right on hand to make your stay an easy and memorable one. The cottage also comes with a kayak which we made good use of, as well. The bay is a nice calm place for beginners like us. We especially enjoyed all that Welllfleet has to offer. Loved it!!

Little neck is the well kept secret. My stay was excellent, could not have asked for a better place, the ocean view superb, sun rise and sunset, excellent. Everything is as stated and even more. I felt I was on an island just by myself. Serene peaceful, Littleneck restful, the locals: awesome people. Weather very cooperative. It was like summer time. Well!! the word's out. I hope I still get it for when next I plan to be there. Ample parking, for visitors too.
