Description of the Wellfleet vacation cottage rental

Enjoy full water views and a beautiful sandy beach just 20 steps from newly renovated 'Old Salt' cottage. NEW for 2013: 2 kayaks are included for exploring the adjacent Cape Cod National Seashore. The beach is a naturally clean, bay beach with gentle waves & relatively warm water. No riptides to worry about. GREAT place if you have young children. The big wave ocean beaches are just 5 miles away on the other side of Wellfleet.
Explore Cape Cod National Seashore, listen to the shorebirds, go sailing, surfing, swimming, collect shells, at night relax - listen to the sound of the waves.
Old Salt cottage is a South facing 750 square foot Cape Cod style vacation home with 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. Renovated in 2011 with an open layout. The kitchen has full-sized appliances and brand new pots and pans. The living room has high ceilings and a full water view. Restored natural wood floors throughout. else. One bedroom has a new full bed. One bedroom has 2 twin beds. And the 3rd bedroom has a new queen bed. Enclosed outdoor shower. Picnic table with water view. Weekly rates are $900 - $2,375. Summer is by the week only, Saturday to Saturday. Spring and Fall are flexible. Please inquire for a rate quote and for more photos and info.

Area Information

Located on Chequessett Neck, on Kendrick Ave, across the street from the west end of Mayo Beach, bay side of Wellfleet. Mayo Beach was voted in TripAdvisor as a Top 10 East Coast beach. It's a 25 minute kayak to secluded Great Island which is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. (Or swim there!)
Less than a mile to Wellfleet's seaside golf course at Chequessett Yacht & Country Club.
From Old Salt, you can walk to Wellfleet Pier.
At the Pier there are 3 restaurants, a seafood market, a walk-up window serving burgers, fried clams & ice cream with picnic tables overlooking the water, sailboats to rent, fishing boat excursions, used books, an art gallery, and W.H.A.T. - Wellfleet's live theatre. Wednesday night, take the family to square dancing at the Pier.
From Old Salt you can walk to a playground that has a tot area, a skateboard park, swings, a frisbee field, and tennis.
1 mile to the historic village of Wellfleet.
But the best part of the location is having a beautiful sandy beach 20 steps from your front door.

We absolutely loved our stay at Old Salt. The cottage is beautiful and extremely clean. The area has so much to offer and is so close to many things we wanted to do. The beach is beautiful, and our weather was perfect. Can't say enough positive about our stay. It was wonderful and we truly enjoyed ourselves with all the comforts of home. We'll definitely be back!!!

Old Salt is a great place to stay. The view is beautiful. The beach is right across the street. Very quiet and relaxing in Sept.
