Reviews for this vacation home rental in Wellfleet, Massachusetts
wonderful family vacation
August 27, 2012
This house is lovely - full of light despite being in a wooded area. We are a family of five - two adults and three young adult children. Lots of seating in the large family room and plenty of puzzles, games & books. We cook and the kitchen was reasonably stocked with pots, pans, & supplies. Ideal location within minutes of the Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking, many great beaches including several town beaches ($75 sticker for week) and the National Seashore beaches (Marconi & Coast Guard in Eastham). Downtown Wellfleet has wonderful galleries and shops and some excellent restaurants. We got a fire permit for the beach (free but limited quantities available) and spent a fabulous evening enjoying roasted marshmallows, s'mores and the night sky at White Crest Beach. We biked or walked down the road on several evenings to better appreciate the beautiful sunsets over the bay - a brief walk, bike ride or drive from the house. The Wellfleet Bay Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary is minutes away and had great birding, boating, and walking activities every day. We walked the trails and saw a heron, turtles and hundreds of tiny crabs. If you like, the Wellfleet Drive-In Theatre is just down the road too. The home owner was nearby, responsive and takes good care of the house. Water view from home is limited to a bit of the bay through the trees. Some ants in the kitchen during our stay. Beds not as comfy as we would have liked. Overall, we highly recommend the home and lovely setting.
Thanks for taking the time to tell us about the time you spent in our "Tree House."
We will be planning to replace some of the beds and will certainly check on the ants .
I'm happy that you enjoyed the house and the setting and took full advantage of all the nearby
activities and opportunities.
Have a good winter.

The tree house is a beautiful, open modern designed home, that was a pleasure to come back to each day during our stay at the Cape. We all felt we were in a secluded, private residence, and we loved sitting on the upper or lower deck and enjoying the breeze and water view in the distance. The house is designed facing the bay and has huge windows in the open living space. We will come back
Natural Cape landscape is wonderful!! Thank you for preserving this! The natural lighting from the many windows is extremely beautiful. The The house is very comfortabl
