Dogs welcome! 2 weeks left; 1in July,1 in August
|Per week||$500 - $1,150|
Just off Route 1, this home is light and airy, beautifully decorated with plenty of living area both upstairs and downstairs and is noted for it's historical charm. It is absolutely perfect for anyone, especially families with children. Very pet friendly; a great place to spend your vacation with the whole family. It is uniquely located just 500 feet from the very first Wells settlement at Webhannet Falls; You can still see the stone blocks used to build the dam for their grist mill, which dates to 1640!
Situated on a dead-end road, it is a safe place for children to ride bikes/play on or to head over to explore Webhannet Falls. We occasionally even see deer and turkey here feeding in the grassy areas along the road. There’s even a rope tree swing in the yard that everyone loves to use! After a day at the beach, let the kids have fun swinging on the rope swing underneath a huge pine tree!
The arbor-covered patio is a great place to have cookouts or entertain, and the fire pit is ideal for gatherings and marshmallow roasts.
The home is only one mile from Wells beach, and convenient to anything you would need: grocery store, movie theater, CVS, restaurants, and a department store. Hop on the trolley for an awesome open-air ride around town, north to Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, or south to Ogunquit!
Designed for maximum living area, this home has high ceilings and an open-concept approach that provide ample space for up to 6 people. With a living room upstairs and another downstairs you can spread out and relax on your vacation without being squeezed into a motel room or cottage, but without having to spend more.
Only a few minutes north on Route 1 is Kennebunkport with it's beautiful quaint shops and restaurants right on the water and Walker's Point, location of the Bush Family Compound (don't be surprised to see George W. Bush fishing or operating his speedboat just offshore during the summer). A short drive south is Kittery with it's world-renowned shopping.
In Wells itself are many fantastic places to eat including: Mike's Clam Shack, Billy's Chowder House, The Fisherman's Catch (our favorite for it's rustic charm), and of course the world-famous Maine Diner.

The house is great and just how the pictures show! Centrally located and very close to the beach and within walking distance to great shops and restaurants. Ethan was very quick at answering questions and provided a lot of items at the house to make it feel like you were still home. Would definitely come back again if its available next year. Thanks Ethan!

The house was terrific. We had plenty of room and all the conveniences we needed. It was centrally located to all the places we went and in a very quiet area.

This cottage is conveniently located right off Route 1 in Wells, ME. It's the only house on a dirt road with a lovely waterfall at the end. There's a nice yard. We were able to bring our dogs, which was great. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here. We were very close to the beach, the grocery store and a lot of fun attractions. When we called Ethan, the owner, with a question, he answered our call immediately. We had a great time! We would definitely consider renting this cottage again.

It's centrally located and minutes (literally 2-3miles away) from the beaches. Around the corner from the grocery store and has a wonderful farm stand at end of private lane. We loved the outdoor patio and chiminea (we used it most nights). On our cloudy day, it was easy to get to both Ogunquit and Kennebunk Port. The two living rooms was a plus, we set up our son's portable crib in the upstairs living and we were able to watch tv or enjoy the patio without waking him. And two bathrooms... enough said! Can't wait to come back in the future!

Our family of 6 recently stayed here with plenty of space! Ethan answered all of our questions completely and quickly. This vacation property is a delight and gives both a feeling of beach atmosphere inside and camping retreat by the back yard setting. We enjoyed having the falls at the end of the property. We all enjoyed the swings and benches in the backyard as well as smores at the camp fire in the evenings! We were able to cook fresh caught lobster dinner on the grill and eat on the back patio. Our dogs had a fun time as well. This house has quite the charm and should please anyone who rents it! This home was central to MANY events, shopping locations, beaches etc. There is a fresh fruit and vegetable stand at the end of this private road which was great! This vacation home is one of the best hidden secrets in Maine for families who are looking to relax in a home away from home setting while on vacation! We definately would rent this vacation property again.

Ideal for families and small pet. Great house with all the amenities. Kitchen has everything you need. Conveniently located near shopping (Hannaford) and 5 min. to Wells beach (by car). Owners are super nice and friendly. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Will definately come back.

Owner seemed very nice online. Got to the property, not sure where to park no driveway, only public road. Walked in house, and smelled of mold. Made me sick, tried to air out best we could and went to store for air fresheners. Couldn't stay the night, ended up in the Emergency Room with an Allergic attack. Contacted the owner immediately, instead of concern I was met with disdain and no refund. There was a huge leech in the house as well, which of course proved of the musty dampness, had pictures of everything, reputed the charge with credit card company along with pictures and hospital papers. Credit card company reviewed my evidence presented and reversed the charges. This of course saved me, as he required me to go to small claims court to get my money back. Nightmare trip for the kids as well this happened on the day of their 15th birthday (twins) Last I knew house was for sale. Never had such a bad experience renting a vacation property before, now not sure if I will ever trust another place online, to do it again.

This property is very "homey" and clean. It's conveniently located off Route 1 so your centrally located to go anywhere without traveling too far. It has a rope swing & tree swing that both my kids thoroughly enjoyed! My12 year old son enjoyed making a fire in the "fire pit" at night to make smores & it also helped to keep the bugs away too. My 10 year old daughter didn't like the bugs at all, that's my city girl for ya'.

The cottage could have been cleaner. There was very little room to put food staples. The bedrooms are very tiny with the beds up against the wall. There is some time of sewer jct. about 50 yards away and if the wind was blowing our way you could smell it. The cottage is central to everything, but you are right on top of RT 1. We enjoyed our stay, but the owner has a little work to do.,

We had a great time on our first vacation in Maine. The cottage we stayed in was a perfect size for our family of four. It was easy access to the beach and shopping. We ate at some great restaurants. The ocean was still a little cool but that didn't bother the kids in the least. We had a great time!
we loved the location, so close to everything and it was great having fresh corn at our front door. We had more than enough room and everything we needed. Thanks! We had a great time! Kenny & Diane
