Pierce House is a turn of the century farmhouse built in 1902 located in Crumpler, NC on 10 acres within a 3 minute drive to the south fork of the New River. The kitchen has all the modern amenities while maintaining that country charm, including a gas log fireplace. The living room is large and bright with two glass doors each leading to a deck, one with a hot tub. The den is a perfect place to cozy up and read your favorite book in front of the second gas log fireplace. There is a comfortable love seat that converts to a single bed in the den for extra sleeping space. The bedrooms are spacious and charming. The master bedroom has a queen bed. A new tiled bathroom has recently been added to the master bedroom as well. The second bedroom has a king bed. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room. The patio offers a wood burning portable stove so you can sit outside and stay warm while counting stars, watching for wildlife or simply enjoying the wooded surroundings. Across from the house is a pond and running stream next to an open field where our horses graze. Have a horse of your own? Bring him/her with you. There is a horse ring and small fenced pasture available.
The south fork of the New River (where our canoe livery is located) is a 3 minute drive away, a short bike ride away. or a nice walk away.
Pierce House is great for a fun family vacation or a romantic get away.

Area Description

Pierce House is located in a private area yet within a 15 - 20 minute drive to Jefferson and West Jefferson where you'll find Mt. Jefferson State Park, shopping,restaurants, galleries and live theatre. A 40 minute drive will take you to Boone for more activities and an hour drive to Blowing Rock The south fork of the New River is a 3 minute drive away where our canoe livery is located for canoeing, kayaking, tubing or biking. The north fork of the New River is a 5 minute drive away. The Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby. The New River State Park is close by for hiking, picnics and enjoying nature. Within an hour drive you will find Stone Mountain, Graceland Highlands State Park,Tweetsie Railroad, The Virginia Creeper Trail, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and the major ski areas.
