Southern Berkshires is a treasure trove of cultural activities in refreshingly relaxed venues. Property is situated at the intersection of three towns with innumerable cultural activities- Stockbridge, Lenox, and Pittsfield. . House is literally two minutes from Tanglewood -the summer home of the world famous Boston Symphony Orchestra. Also minutes to Berkshire Theater Festival with two stages in Stockbridge- performing both classic and experimental theater; Shakespeare & Company with three stages in Lenox; Barrington Stage Company in newly renovated historic theater in Pittsfield.

Southern Berkshires has numerous opportunities for biking and hiking - on your own or with organized groups. Also home to Historical sites, including Shaker Village, Norman Rockwell Museum, Herman Melville's Arrowhead home, Edith Wharton Estate.

Locally, less than two miles into the heart of the classically New England village of West Stockbridge, there is a swimming pond, outstanding Vietnamese and French restauarants, pub, bakery, and gourmet breakfast, lunch, and dessert spots.

Willamstown and North Adams are approximately 45 minutes north, home to williamstown Theater Festival, Clark Institute of Art, Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, and Willaims College Museum of Art.
