Description of the West Tisbury vacation cabin rental

Martha's Vineyard. A beautifully built and maintained cabin on Deep Bottom Cove, one of the "fingers" that runs towards the center of the island from Tisbury Great Pond. This cabin is an escape from it all -- gas lights, no tv.

Designed as a writer's cottage, the cabin nestles peacefully in its remote location, with only a couple of other houses in distant view. The surroundings are beautiful, and the views of the cove spectacular.

One double bedroom (two single beds or a king-size), living/dining room with foldout couch, small kitchen, deck overlooking the pond, inside bath and outside shower.

The cove beach is thirty seconds from the house where you can swim, sail, canoe and kayak. Sail or kayak to the ocean beach.

This Cottage, in a word - authentic. We felt like personal guests of a family we never even met. From the drift wood towel racks, the orange and gold cushion fabrics, the worn wood planks that made up the floor, to the row of seashells on the deck and cedar bench on the edge of the water, everything felt like it was full of personal memories and love. No Marriot or Ramada could match what this is - a home away from home.
