Vacation Rental Description

Martha's Vineyard. This is the real McCoy -- a traditional shingled summer camp, looking out over Deep Bottom Cove, one of the "fingers" of Tisbury Great Pond. The place is beautiful, but simple and old-fashioned -- not for everyone! We have an electric fridge, and electricity to run the water system, but no electric lights -- gas and kerosene instead. There are electric outlets, but other than the fridge, the answering machine and the washer-drier, we don't have any electrical appliances. That's right, no TV! (We have a radio and cassette player.)

Four bedrooms, including a separate master bedroom with bathroom. Sleeps seven easily, plus extra cot bed and double mattress. Small bathtub and delightful outdoor shower. Large wrap around deck with outdoor seating. Hammock. Fully equipped kitchen, telephone, washer and drier.

Beautiful surroundings, spectacular views of the cove. Only a few other houses in distant view. Gorgeous sunsets, wonderful stars at night. Herons, swans, osprey.

The cove beach is right in front of the house. You can swim, sail, canoe and kayak. Sail or kayak to the ocean beach. We have two sail boats, two kayaks, and a canoe for your use.
