Area Information

West Yarmouth is 10 minutes from Hyannis Center for shopping and night life. The Aqua Circus is right on rt 28 in West Yarmouth. Also if you want to venture to the National Seashore you can get there in about 40 minuites.

Cape Cod Summer Vacation

We recently rented this summer cottage in West Yarmouth MA. We were there for 4 weeks, and enjoyed our stay. the cottage was small, but comfortable. As indicated, the beach is approx. 3/4 mile from the cottage via the road. You can see the back of the beach across the tidal pond viewable from the yard at the cottage. The cottage came with all the amenities of home, telephone, cable tv, books, and entertainment brochures, plus all household items for cleaning and cooking, including a nice Stainless gas grill. The cottage colony where this is located has some very nice people who became our new friends. We would recommend this cottage to others who might be considering a visit to the Cape. However, be aware that the cottage comfortably slleps 5 but has a very small living room area. With 4 or 5 people you would want to probably eat outside on the picnic table when it comes to messy food such as steamers or lobster. Outstanding Vacation

The location was great. Located near everything and it was quiet and close to the water. Unfortunately we didn't have perfect weather liked we dreamed of but it didn't stop us from having an amazing vacation. The cottage was clean and was very nice to stay in. We had lots of privacy and everybody was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed that we were able to go out and do lots of things and still not have to drive far back to our place to stay. We would most definetly be staying again next year if the cottage is available to rent!

Week in the Cape

June 20, 2011

The cottage is very well located for day trips anywhere within the cape - we visited Provincetown, Martha's Vineyard, Sandwich etc. all without feeling like the days were spent travelling. It's a 15 minute walk/5 min drive from a very nice local beach (though if you drive there is a parking charge). The owners were extremely helpful, very friendly and took time to send details of day-out ideas/etc. at various points in the build up to our trip. The village the cottage is located in is very quiet and peaceful, but you also aren't more than a 5-10 minute drive from a good selection of nice restaurants and supermarkets. The inside of the cottage has a nice feel to it and the kitchen has plenty of utensils etc and BBQ facilities - which we used a few times! Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the cottage and would recommend it to others.
