Description of the West Yellowstone vacation home rental

Less than 10 miles from the West entrance of Yellowstone National Park, our vacation home is three floors, casually, comfortably and fully furnished, filled with natural light from bright southern exposure, offers 360 degrees of glorious mountain and lake views and is easily accessible in all seasons.

Finished in 2008 as a retreat for family and friends to gather together, it's a great location to unwind, play, boat, ski, hike, explore, hunt, fish, snowmobile, or just relax and enjoy the peace and comfort of a welcoming mountain home.

With three bedrooms and two full baths, the home will sleep 6-9 in beds plus room for additional guests on futon and queen size air mattress. Upon request, a fourth bedroom and bath may be available for large groups.

HOUSE DESCRIPTION
Upon entering the home, you'll find an open floor plan with a great room, dining area, breakfast nook and spectacular gourmet kitchen with double doors that open to a deck running the full South side of the home. There are also two bedrooms on the main floor and a full bath. The south bedroom has a king bed and a twin bed. The north bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk bed (full on bottom/twin on top). An open, pine staircase leads from the main floor to the loft, where the Master Suite includes a balcony to watch sunsets, a walk-in closet with plenty of room for a crib, a King bed, private bath, and a separate sitting area/office with a futon. A large family room, game room (pool table) and laundry room are located in the basement.

PROPERTY INCLUDES:
This is our family vacation home and we’ve filled it with everything we enjoy when we get together! You’ll be greeted by a welcome basket filled with goodies plus all the ingredients to cook up one of our favorite family soups in the crock pot. The fridge is stocked with basic condiments and you’ll find an array of spices and basic staples in the pantry.

The kitchen is fully outfitted with all dishes, utensils, and cooking ware along with a variety of small appliances (waffle maker, mixer, coffee maker, rice maker, blender, etc). Microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, double oven, refrigerator with icemaker, grill on deck.

Rental includes linens, soaps, shampoo/conditioner, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap plus a variety of other thoughtful items such as mosquito repellent, sunscreen, lotions, etc. There is high speed internet, satellite TV, a game/puzzle table, plenty of good reading chairs, and an assortment of board games, puzzles, books, coloring books/crayons and a music/video library.

Beach towels, daypacks/fanny packs, refillable water bottles, cooler and collapsible chairs available for your use for day hikes, picnics, and trips to the lake.

Area Description

Once you settle in, get ready to enjoy the paradise of the high country.

You can fly fish blue ribbon streams, go whitewater rafting or hike, backpack, bike, or horseback ride the hundreds of miles of trails. Lake Hebgen is within minutes and its miles and miles of shoreline offer boating, canoeing, swimming, and some of the best fishing around.

There are tours into Yellowstone National Park or you can pack a picnic and drive the park at your leisure, hike, bike or backpack, or take a horseback ride. Big Sky Resort is 40 miles north and includes a ski resort and several white water rafting companies. The Rendezvous cross-country ski trails are 10 miles away in West Yellowstone, and there are over 400 miles of snowmobile trails that begin right outside the front door!

Dining and shopping are located in the small town of West Yellowstone (West). Along with the gate into Yellowstone National Park, West includes the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, museums, art galleries, bakeries, bookstores, and plenty of places to pick up souvenirs of your visit. You’ll also find fly fishing guides, back country tour services, and rental shops for bikes, snowmobiles, and skis.
