Description of the Whidbey Island vacation cottage rental

Seabluff Cottage is a secluded waterfront cottage on scenic Whidbey Island. Halfway between Greenbank and historic Coupeville, you will find Seabluff Cottage. With 180 degree views of Saratoga passage and the Cascade Mountains. A small cedar shingled cottage with wrap around casement windows and French doors that open to let the sea breezes in. A white slip-covered sofa and easy chair center on the wood-burning fireplace. Best described as a shabby chic beach cottage; antiques, fresh flowers, books and music complete the romantic ambience of the cottage.

Our waterfront cottage offers extraordinary views with beach access down a country road. Whales, in season can be sighted from the bluff side Adirondack chairs, as well as sea lions, eagles, and endless shorebirds.

Trails lead through a woodland garden to a whimsical seaside gazebo, a classical setting for afternoon tea or a lazy summer picnic. Seabluff is private, quiet, serene, and peaceful. Our guests describe it as magical...

Area Description

Seabluff Cottage is located in central Whidbey, the most scenic part of the island. The Greenbank Farm expresso café and winery is only a few minutes drive from the cottage. It offers visitors many fine ways to spend a day. The farm is a community gathering center with art, music, festivals, antiques, jazz in the barn, wine tasting, Sunday Farmer’s Market and Fall craft fairs. The farm also has hiking trails with spectacular views of the water and mountains.

Within a ten minute drive south is Meerkerek Rhododendron Gardens, Holmes Harbor Golf Course, Bayview Farmer’s Market, Island Athletic Club and South Whidbey State Park.

To the north is historic Coupeville, a seaside village with wonderful cafes, excellent restaurants, art galleries, antiques, boutique shops and a small museum. It is centered in Ebey’s National Historic Reserve. Hiking the bluff at Ebeys’s landing is one of the highlights of the island. You can catch a ferry from here to the National Historic Port Townsend where you can explore shops, cafes and history. Beyond Port Townsend is the Olympic National Park with it’s incredible views, hiking, and visitors center.

It’s only an hours drive north to Deception Pass Park, known for white sand beaches, fresh water lake, hiking trails over the islands and spectacular sunsets. Further north is Anacortes, the ferry terminal to the San Juan Islands. This is a great day trip to explore the islands, go whale watching or for the pure pleasure of the scenery.
