Description of the Whidbey Island vacation home rental

This comfortable home with its wide screen TV above the fireplace has room for the whole family and then some.
The spacious kitchen has a wonderful double oven gas range, a Bosch dishwasher, and two sinks. The floor plan is open and inviting and makes entertaining a breeze.
Two of the bedrooms have queen beds while the third has a cozy single. A queen futon sofa provides additional sleeping accommodations.
Besides the large living room, there is a bright sun room which leads out to the large, fenced back yard. Enjoy the picnic table and fire ring while the kids play in the grass.
An attached garage provides plenty of room for bicycles, motorcycles, or two small cars.
The extra large capacity Maytag washer and dryer mean even the laundry chores will be enjoyable.
From the moment you enter the beautiful leaded glass front door, you're going to feel "at home". Just kick up your feet and let the island work its magic.

Oak Harbor is the largest community on Whidbey Island. The island is 45 miles long and has a shoreline of over 125 miles. Every where you look, the views are sensational. The house is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood only minutes away from NAS Whidbey and the Seaplane Base. It's only two blocks from an Island Transit stop, where its possible to ride all the way down island to connect with the WA State Ferry to Pt. Townsend on the Olympic Penninsula or Mukilteo on the mainland. You can also ride this free bus to Deception Pass and beyond all the way to Mt. Vernon or Bellingham.
West Beach is only minutes away, as is the Oak Harbor City Beach and Windmill Park where swimming and the walking trail are popular.
A two minute drive will take you to any of three area grocery stores and all the fast food you'd ever want.
If you're into public transportation, a car is not even necessary. You can ride The Whidbey Seatac shuttle from Seatac Intl Airport.

Whidbey Island has lots of events all year long to make life interesting. The Holland Happening celebrates the tulips in springtime. We have Race Week, the Coupeville Arts & Crafts festival, the marathon, Tour de Whidbey, Choochokum, a huge 4th of July celebration complete with parade and fireworks, and Djangofest. There's also the Highland Games, The Island Co. Fair, the Annual Mystery tour, and let's not forget Oyster Run! (We love motorcycles) We also are close to Ft. Casey, Au Sable, and The Gail Harker Design & Embrodery Inst. For our guests who attend, we can equip the sunroom with Ott lights and 8' tables.
Along the length of the island there are five weekly farmer's markets from late spring to early fall. Good food, great arts and crafts, and wonderful music abound.

• Deposits: $200.00 refundable damage deposit $200.00 rental deposit $95.00 cleaning fee. The total $495.00 is due when booking your reservation. Rent is due in advance and is collected weekly or monthly, depending on the length of your stay. Long term guests are welcome and encouraged.
   
• Other Fees: The one-time cleaning fee is collected on all rentals. Lodging tax is collected on all stays less than 30 days. Cleaning fee is increased to $195.00 if there is a dog on the premises.

Don't ever stay in a hotel while in Oak Harbor. This house is so cozy and comfy. Owners have supplied just about everything you'll need, and then some. Very nice comfortable beds, laundry facilities and the coolest refrigerator you've ever used. I'm spoiled now. I've got to have one!!! You'll have to stay there to see what I mean. Great location. Right in the middle of Whidby Island. Easy, fun day trips in every direction. Owners also very helpful and congenial. I would rate the entire experience a 10! Stay here and you won't be sorry.

Last summer my husband and I got married in New Mexico and then came to Whidbey Island to have a reception with family and friends. We hosted the BBQ in the back yard amid the flowers and trees and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of parking, plenty of room inside and out, and the kitchen was a dream! Our 26 guests felt right at home here. The front and back yards are well kept and definitely show the love.

My favorite memory is the gas fireplace and the loveseat cuddler where we sat and relaxed. This home is in a quiet friendly neighborhood, close to shops and situated in a safe place for walking. It was extremely clean and well taken care of by the owner. Since this house is on one level, it is perfect for handicapped and older people. The sunroom is very cheerful and extends the livibility of this perfect home. I look forward to coming again soon!
