Big Mountain Ski-in condo at Edelweiss (#14585)

Write a review We loved it. We enjoyed the great hiking trails and loved the gondola rides to the Summit House for a super lunch. Then, Whitefish is so close for groceries and the Farmers Marker each Tuesday and the Art Crawl the first Thursday...we were always good busy. We LOVED Glacier Nat'l. Park, and also took an overnight into British Columbia and Lake Louise and Banff. Visit Lake Moraine if you tour Lake Louise...it is even better! The condo is fully appointed so we needed nothing. Is it a great value? You bet. very nice condo in nice area , lots to do Stayed 3 nights in July 2009 and was pleased with the experience. Compared to some of the other places on the mountain this place seemed like a better value. The bed off the living room is nice and with the placement of the bedroom and bathroom it offers some degree of privacy for everyone. We were impressed by the area as well, there are lots of things to do around Whitefish. Great golf, Glacier national Park, a nice beach, waterslides, and zip lining on the mountain. We would come again. 1 Being on the mountain is a priority for us...great location. 2 just the two of us (50's) ...condo met our every expectation....can see where it would work for a family of four + for a week easily 3 owners most helpful and accomodating 4 met some new and interesting folks at the BBQ 5 in our opinion very reasonable 6 we will be in Whitefish again. We enjoyed our time at the condo. It was clean and larger than we had expected. The wireless was great! The condo is a bit far from Glacier NP, but doable. Big Mountain has nice hikes and good berry picking. Good restaurants in Whitefish. Would do it again! The owner had mailed me a key to the property, which didn't arrive in time, however the owner was very accommodating in order for us to get into the property on our time-frame. The condo was everything we expected and more (my kids loved the dish of chocolates left for us!) A pleasant surprise was also that there was a laundry facility downstairs we could access. There were plenty of information brochures, tips on restaurants in the area, etc., all available for us to peruse. The location was easy to get to, and a great place to stay. Would I stay here again? You bet. A great little condo at a reasonable price. My family stayed at the condo for 5 days. It was a wonderful place to stay and the owners were very helpful and available if anything was needed. Thanks Terri! The Forthofer's A great place to stay. One couldn't ask for a better location at such a reasonable price! Condo was perfect for our needs and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have been able to stay here. We would definitely recommend it to anyone, and if we plan to be back in the area, would stay here again. Wildfires made the seeing the scenery a bit difficult, but everything else about our trip was wonderful. The accomodations in the condo were nice and well-kept. The hiking trails behind the cabin were a blast. Saw tons of deer and even a bear. Just the right distance from town.
