********************************************************************************************

Montgomery County, Maryland is one of the most high-tech and affluent counties in the entire country. The borders on the Nation's Capital, the Potomac River and employment centers in Northern Virginia are major reasons. But the county also has the I-270 Technology Corridor and has become the premier national center of the biotechnology industry as well as home to the National Institutes of Health.

The upscale shopping, breadth of services and high quality of life here are reflected in the homes, and new condominiums can be found everywhere, in regal old buildings, high- and low-rises, loft-style designs, and active adult communities, too. Infrastructure is solidly in place, such as the Washington area Metro and MARC Commuter Rail, plus a wonderful park and recreation system. Add it all up, and Montgomery County is a wonderful place to visit and live.

Pied-A-Terres are located in North Bethesda, between Bethesda and Rockville, MD.

Bethesda, MD
Just over the District of Columbia's western line, Bethesda, MD is the most affluent suburb in the metro area. While having many of the most sought-after homes, Bethesda is also home to National Institutes of Health, Bethesda Naval Hospital, Lockheed Martin and Marriott International. The area has over 180 restaurants, as well as theaters, art galleries and farmers markets and more.

Rockville, MD
Rockville is the fifth largest city in Maryland and the county seat of Montgomery County. Both a residential community and a major employment center, the city offers year-round special events, weekly farmer's markets, and tiny shops and delis are next to national retailers and restaurants. Filled with greenery, Rockville has 58 public parks, a Municipal Swim Center, golf courses and many other recreational facilities.

LINKS to nearby shopping and events in addition to everything you know about in DC can be provided in my response to your inquiry.

Reviews for this vacation condo rental in Williamsburg, Virginia

 Very Nice, September 15, 2009
By Adrienne (Christiansburg, VA)
I rented a condo for a weekend get together with friends at Busch Gardens. It is a great (and upgraded) alternative to a hotel room and surprisingly less expensive. The place was clean and a relaxing place to gather. We didn't use many facilities other than the pool, which was much welcomed after a day at the park. The beds were quite comfortable and the pillows passed my approval (which isn't easy). Highly recommend!

 Excellent, May 7, 2009
By Karen DiDomenico (New Jersey)
The development was beautiful and condo was perfect! My husband and I enjoyed our stay and will definately be visiting again!!

 Great location, August 4, 2008
By Karen Sissick (Sayreville, NJ)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the resort. Had a minor problem with the reservation which was corrected immediately by Spence. The issues we had were very minor - no alarm clocks in the bedrooms, missing bed linens, small coffee mugs. The customer service staff responded very promptly to all requests. Also had some problems with internet access (which is provided by an outside service provider). We couldn't get through to their tech support, which was very frustrating. After 2 hours of trying to get through to tech support, I called the front desk. I was given the cell phone number of a technician, and he responded very quickly to us and corrected the problem. Overall, it is a great location and we will definitely return on our next trip.

We enjoyed our stay at Powhaten Resort, the condos are alittle dated but still very nice, they have nice pools and grounds around the resort. I took my three year old daughter fishing for the first time and she caught her fisrt fish there.

An enjoyable weekend, May 8, 2008
By Kyana Jones (Camp Springs, Maryland)
Myself and 5 of my girls went down for the weekend to celebrate my 24th birthday. I was very nice and spacious. Im disappointed we didnt spend more time on the grounds. We ran into an issue with our room but the people there jumped right in and made sure we were taken care of.

Nice, Friendly, good location, April 29, 2008
By Lori Knox (Randolph, NJ)
We had a good time at Powhattan Plantation. Rooms were a bit dated, but fine. 2nd bedroom was huge, as were the bathrooms. Had an issue with the dishwasher, but it was quickly resolved. The staff was extremely friendly!! The resort plans a lot of activites each day. We tried the scavanger hunt for kids, but it was just a list to do on their own, so they opted out of it. The indoor pool was crowded, but served it's purpose. The outdoor pool was not open, but looked very intiviting, as they were getting ready to open it for the season. There is a playground on site, but an even better one right down the road! The kids loved it! Ground are very nice. Location is wonderful for ALL the attractions. We visited Colonial WIlliamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown and Busch Gardens. It was pretty central to all, but closest to Jamestown. Overall, a nice trip. Could use some updating, but for the price this place fits the bill!!!!

 Beautiful Resort,great service, April 21, 2008

 Great Bargain, October 23, 2007
By S Greb (Pittsburgh, PA)
Unit was very clean, updated and convenient to local attractions. Check in was easy and everything ready. Two improvements that I would recommend (1) improve the lighting in bedrooms and improve the quality of towels in bathrooms. Our group enjoyed the unit-- the resort worked out well for us, we enjoyed the grill, and pool. Almost nightly entertainmnet at the Grill was a plus. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this to friends and family. Price was definitely right!
