Description of the Williamsburg vacation home rental
The home is set on the bank of the Diascund, a tributary of the Chickahominy and James rivers. It is partly secluded on a 2-acre property about 15 miles west of Williamsburg. It has a beautiful view of a wide expanse of the tidal river and a 75-foot pier threads through Cypress trees. The dock at the pier’s end can be used for swimming and fishing in the river. The river can be explored with a canoe or Johnboat at the property. Fishing equipment is available in the house. There are no stinging jellyfish, and swimming is good all summer.
The house has a wrap-around covered porch, which faces the river and has a gas grill. It has normal central heating and air conditioning. Double windows and double glass doors to the porch surround the combination living/dining room. This room has a sleeper sofa and a TV with cable and VCR + DVD, radio/tape player. The kitchen has a refrigerator, gas stove/oven, microwave oven, drip coffee maker, toaster/broiler oven, and plenty of cooking utensils and dishes. The bathroom has a tub/shower. The master bedroom has a private balcony facing the pier. It has a king bed and vanity with small sink. The second bedroom has two twin beds.
