North Star Cottage can accommodate up to FIVE persons in three bedrooms, with one bedroom on the first floor and two on the second: the first floor bedroom has a queen-sized bed; on the second floor, there is one double bedroom and one single, and they share a landing with lake view. New mattresses and quality linens are on all beds, and you'll find fluffy duvets for cozy nights.
There is one full bath, with tub and shower. Towels are provided.
Five deck levels offer additional three-season space for relaxing or entertaining, and easy access to the lake, with views of Toronto, weekly sailing regattas, and passing lake and ocean-going freighters. There are fabulous sunsets AND remarkable sunrises over the water. After dark, you'll see the distant lights of greater Toronto like jewels on the horizon, and a sky full of stars dominated by the Big Dipper and the North Star above the lake.
The decks are furnished with tables, chairs, and umbrellas. Stairs to each level end at the water. Water access is by a small dock, but as lake levels vary throughout the season, you may find the remains of a cement pier exposed, or even a small stone beach. Put in your own kayak, rowboat, canoe, or inflatable dinghy.
For chilly nights in spring and late summer, the house is fully heated with zoned thermostats.
There is a fully equipped country kitchen, including stove, full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, blender, sandwich grill, pots and pans, utensils, china, glassware, etc, plus an outdoor charcoal grill. The round table has a beautiful view of the lake.
A clothes washer and dryer, laundry soap, iron, and ironing board are all available for your use.
The living room has comfortable seating with interesting antiques,a cottage piano, a 27" TV with basic cable, and a DVD player. Many books and an assortment of games are available for a rainy day. An upstairs bedroom has an additional small television.
A cozy sun room is furnished in wicker and overlooks the deck and water.
All rooms have some water views and pretty framed art, and the house is within walking distance of two fishing piers and the scenic harbor front.
The village center is less than a mile away, with grocery store, restaurants, and shops.
An excellent state park is a short drive or bike ride along the lake. The village park is directly across the road from the cottage, with a grass meadow, baseball diamonds, a small playground, and a pine forest. Pop over for a Little League game on spring and summer evenings, or listen from the front porch rockers.
The driveway provides off-street parking for two cars.
North Star is a smoke-free environment.
Come and share beautiful sunsets that last and last,
followed by romantic star-filled nights!
PLEASE NOTE: This property is not suitable for small children, and the steps to the upstairs bedrooms may prove difficult for elderly visitors.

My family and I had a delightful stay in Wilson. The owner of the property was very helpful and accommodating. The house itself exceeded my expectations. As charming as the pictures are, it was even better in person. As soon as we pulled into the driveway and saw the view of the lake I knew we were in for a treat. My only regret is that we did not plan to stay longer.

The rental was just as described and everything was clean and in working order. We had a delightful 3 night stay and would definitely go back if it was available. What a treasure! Vanessa, the owner, was there to greet us and go over everything. Thanks for making our vacation a success.

North Star Cottage is the perfect spot to combine the action and activities of Niagara Falls with the relaxation of reading by the lake on your fantastic deck. Entertaining two teenagers was a breeze with so much nearby, and the downtime watching the water and boats was great to recharge after busy day. The owners of this cottage were incredible, Vanessa and Frank make you feel as though you are visiting with friends. Unlike a lot of rentals the beds are made, the towels are provided, and the kitchen is well-appointed for a good home cooked meal. Enjoy this wonderful respite.

My time at the cottage was extremely relaxing and refreshing. I thoroughly enjoyed the evenings on the back deck watching the boats sail and the sun set. It was a wonderful place to spend my last week of vacation.
