My husband took our first weekend away from our kids in 8 years. Sinya was so peaceful and relaxing, Lynn offers top notch hospitality. Hope to make it back again!

I booked a weeked at Sinya as a surprise for my husband on our 10th anniversary. It was everything I had hoped and more! Lynn has thought of every detail to make this a perfect experience: the most comfortable bed with the softest sheets and pillows, a gourmet coffee maker, a delicious and freshly prepared breakfast brought right to your door. I did not want to leave. The weekend was romantic, relaxing, rejuvenating and truly one of the best weekends we have spent as a couple. It was our own personal retreat. I'm looking forward to returning!

I took my girlfriend camping a few weekends ago. It was her first time. I was excited to take her with me because it is something I thoroughly enjoy and do frequently. Yours truly forgot extra blankets at home right next to the front door. Fortunately, there was a Buccees along the way and we picked up a couple extra blankets. Unfortunately, the temperature hit low 20’s that night. I thought she would never talk to me again. I did however strategically place a weekend at Sinya a couple weeks ahead just incase anything were to go wrong on our camping trip. I had never been ‘glamping’ and didn’t really know what to expect. I read the reviews, saw the pictures and thought we could have a cool, relaxing weekend there in a cabin/tent thing. The drive from Houston was easy. Left around 6:30 pm and arrived no later than 9:30 Lynn had stayed in contact with us and left us a lantern at the top of the path. She still stepped out and walked us around and explained a couple things to us. The place looked amazing from the outside. When we stepped inside, I was blown away. The interior of the tent, and it is a tent, was incredible. The room was truly spacious and incredibly comfortable. We opted to cook our own meals and I was a bit skeptical about what was going to be available, but this kitchen was better stocked than mine is at home. Don’t bring anything other than your food (unless you plan to eat out). There is also a great grill outside near a fire pit facing a spectacular view. Got in the hot tub the first night. What a cool hot tub! Big tub (im 6”4) and gets HOT. The back porch is very cool and very private. The tent was super comfortable. The most incredible sheets ever (really) and the outdoor deck is beautiful. Regardless if you want to go camping or on a luxurious weekend away, this is the spot. Trip TOTALLY made up for the cold weather on our previous camping trip. Even though saturday we got hit with an incredible thunder storm. It was perfect

This was my husband's and my second visit to Sinya and it was even more wonderful than the first. When we arrived and walked up the path to Sinya and I first stepped out on the deck, I felt like I was "home." As usual, Lynn thought of every detail possible to make us feel welcome and make our stay memorable. This time the weather was perfect for us to make full use the hammock (which was delightful) and use the outdoor grill to cook steaks. It was fun and romantic sitting out under the stars by the fire-pit and this time I got to make s'mores -- yum! The indoor amenities are so comfortable and luxurious and Lynn's breakfasts are a delectable experience, not to be missed! Sinya is one of my favorite places on earth to recharge and reconnect. We will return again at our first opportunity.

Imagine sleeping under the billions of stars in a luxurious safari tent wrapped in the coziest bed you have slept in whilst the wild turkeys gobble and the coyotes howl at the moon, where the central Texas metro area is just over the next hill but you're tucked away, hidden in the Texas Hill Country. Well, my wife, Kimberly, and I don't have to as we stayed at Sinya! A truly unique experience! This is something we highly recommend for a couple of nights "away" from it all! The breakfast Lynn served was a delightful addition to a relaxing time... as well as her sharing some insights to how this place came about - inspiring to say the least!

This was our first time to stay in a tent like this. It was very romantic. You won't be missing any luxuries because they are all here. The outdoor shower was my absolute favorite. The owner, Lynn is a beautiful soul. I enjoyed our conversation about Sinya (the elephant). Her compassion for these beautiful creatures is amazing!!! You can tell how much pride she has in this place. It looks brand new. Thankyou Lynn for making this a romantic retreat for couples. You are blessed beyond measure!! My husband and I will cherish these memories of staying there forever!! Your babies ( doggies) were precious!! Keep up the good work. It's definitely worth it.

Sinya, Lynn, Simba and Brando....all make for the most perfect getaway! My wife and I decided to spend our honeymoon at Sinya and it was the best decision we have ever made! The view is spectacular and the accommodations are top notch! We higly recommend the massage, as well as Lynn's culinary masterpiece: breakfast! Once you stay....you will be hooked! We are looking forward to our next stay.

My wife and I stayed at Sinya for two nights and loved it. It is very secluded, located overlooking a lovely creek with a dam that makes a nice pool. The reflection in the pool at sunset was stunning, like a painting beautiful. We enjoyed the view from the porch whether it was having mojitos, or eating the wonderful breakfast that was brought over by the owner, Lynne. My wife was fascinated by the hummberbirds swarming the feeders Lynne set up. She is from Peru and had never seen Hummingbirds. The Ihome music system was great, connects to I phone wireless and can be moved around wherever. Michael Buble went great with champagne on the veranda at sunset. Lots of neat stuff nearby too, town of Wimberly, Blue Hole swimming, and be sure an not to miss the Italian REstaurant Trattoria Lisina. The outdoor shower is very pleasant for the naturist in you. Highly recommended

Beautiful, calm. serene retreat. Just what we needed to relieve our stress. Mother Nature cooperated, but even if she hadn't, Lynn had everything ready for our getaway. Loved the "hippy" hot tub and the outdoor shower, along with all the unique objects situated in and around the "glamp". The sound of the water, the exquisite linens, and the private setting helped to make this a memorable vacation.. Colleen and Jeff

If you love the outdoors but are not really a" rough it" camper, then Sinya is perfect for you. If you want to treat someone to a special time or introduce him or her to just enjoying God's beautiful earth this place is the perfect get away. First Class accommodations and a wonderful and thoughtful hostess. We loved it!

When you need to unwind; refocus; remember why you were placed on this planet and realign your priorities, Sinya is calling you. The time spent away from the rat-race will bring peace to your mind and solace to your soul. Yes, it’s camping…but far from primitive. Just do it. You will thank yourself later.

My wife and I needed a quick, easy getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted something in the Texas Hill Country that was private, scenic, peaceful, and out of the ordinary. Sinya filled all the requirements. We plan to return in the spring.

We had a fabulous time! Love the unique environment. It was the first "tent" I've ever slept in, so now I'm spoiled!

Immediately felt the pressures of the grind lift upon arrival. One of the most relaxing weekends I can remember. Surrounded by the beauty and sounds of nature it was truly a cleansing experience. I was fortunate to share the time with my wife on our anniversary. The real beauty for us is Sinya is only 56 miles from our house, we intend to return in the fall and watch the leaves change.

Sinya was absolutely the perfect getaway for my husband and I to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. It exceeded our expectations. We would love to visit again soon and plan to tell our friends about it.
May 24, 2010
We recently stayed at Sinya to celebrate our 32nd anniversary. The experience was fantastic. Our host, Lynn, was exceptionally accomodating and gracious. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful while the 'tent' could qualify as a 4 star resort. We highly recommend the stay for anyone seeking a quiet retreat from the stress of everyday life. Romantic, secluded, a wonderful location to relax and enjoy each other and nature. The overnight thunderstorm was even a highlight for the trip.
September 8, 2009
This was a truly unique experience. The owner, Lynn conceptualized, designed, and built what I can only describe as the Ritz Carlton of Safari Tents with incredible hill country views surrounded what is basically a bird sanctuary. My wife and I were there for out 14th anniversary and it was as a romantic and private setting as I could have hoped for. The outdoors are part of the experience as you are basically in the outdoors with some luxurious amenities. Lynn was a very gracious host taking care of any reservations (several wineries and restaurants in the area) we needed. We would actually grab a couple of bottles of wine, snacks, cheeses and meats and make an evening of it on the Veranda enjoying the beautiful countryside and watching the hummingbirds buzz around. Make sure to request the Hammock for an afternoon nap - Lynn will hang it on the Veranda for you!

What a great place to stay. The tent was fabulous....a lovely cool breeze kept us at a perfect temperature all night, even after a pretty warm and humid day (mid 90's). The interior was cozy and great attention was paid to all details. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the evening, and had trouble tearing ourselves away the next day. The huge clawfoot tub, and the outdoor shower were such a nice touch. The setting is fantastic, private and secluded, but not out in the middle of nowhere. We had a great stay and look forward to returning.
Most relaxing & wonderful place we have been in years
My husband and I just returned from our second stay at Sinya. What a wonderful place! All the great aspects of camping - being close to nature, the wind blowing through the tent all night and listening to the birds sing in the morning - but all the comforts of a fabulous bed and breakfast - comfortable décor, super comfortable bed, full shower (including an outdoor shower), refrigerator. But more than that is the utter relaxation you fall under immediately upon arrival. We had plans to leave Sinya for other activities during the day, but we decided to skip everything and just spend 2 full days on the wonderful veranda just relaxing. Lynn has truly thought of everything to make sure you have the perfect stay and is a fabulous host. If you need anything, she is there to help! Dont need anything and you have the place to yourself uninterrupted. We recommend Sinya to everyone we can! It is truly a unique and wonderful experience. We have already booked for a third stay!

"It was everything described and more...every detail carefully considered, every creature comfort anticipated - neither of us have been this relaxed in a long time. Both breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented - but to get an omelet with morels was truly a treat!
Thank you Lynn! You have the gift of hospitality."
Jodi & Fred
"We were SO relaxed here. Drinking coffee in the hammock is the only way to wake up. We also really enjoyed our massages last night. Then, after, we listened to the storm roll in and watched the lightening. All of these moments and more will be treasured parts of our honeymoon. Thank you."

"As a surprise to my husband for our 30th wedding anniversary, I booked our weekend at Sinya not really knowing if it would live up to the beautiful photos online. I can say without hesitation that it exceeded my expectations and made for a wonderful surprise. Its tranquility and ambiance is coupled with Lynn's attention to every detail that her guests could ever want. She has provided everything needed for relaxation and comfort. It is a perfect blend of experiencing nature at its finest with the amenities of a five-star hotel!! It is definitely our "new favorite place".

"I was lead to this place online...looking for someshere to spend our 14th Anniversary. Immediately, I knew this was it. The online pics were beautiful, but do no justice to actually being here. Wow - absolutely serene! We've concluded - there is no better place that we would rather be. So...we will be seeing you next year!
The rain, the renewing our vows ceremony, the massages, frogs, birds, water fall, and most important...you. You have a beautiful spirit and are so warm-hearted. Thank you so much for everything."
Jim and Stephanie
"Thank you so much for your generous hospitality. You thought of everything to make our stay luxurious. We thoroughly enjoyed Sinya and its surroundings. We felt so close to nature - so tranquil. The hummingbirds were amazing to watch; the racoons were a little scarey but that is all part of being "in the wild" :-)
We look forward to our next visit - only longer next time!
(Bogie sends you a BIG THANK YOU!)

"As seasoned Hill Country travelers, we thought we'd seen it all, that is, until Sinya. Thank you for sharing your vision and your sanctuary with us! We will not soon forget the magnificent views and sounds your little piece of Africa has delivered.
We, too, love Glamping!
PS Hugs & kisses to the very fluffy Brando and Simba"
Trish & Fred
"Thanks for creating such a beautiful and tranquil place to get away from it all! We played hard each day we were here by hiking around and zip lining across canyons at the Wimberley Zipline. The Mandola Winery was lovely and dinner at Trattoria Lisina was out of this world good!!! But the best part was coming back to Sinya to enjoy the space and the setting.

"My wife and I have traveled the world mostly in luxury hotels. Our travels to Wimberley, Texas for a wedding lead us to a most unique experience that we fell in love with. Upon our arrival at Sinya we were taken back at the pure beauty of the area and the impeccably clean conditions of Sinya. Sinya provided a sense of adventure in a luxurious environment while capturing the beauty and serenity of the Texas Hill Country. We definitely recommend Sinya as we did to the bride and groom, insisting they should come back to Wimberley and stay at Sinya for their anniversary. Thank you Lynn for your outstanding hospitality and most unique experience."

"Our stay at Sinya was the peaceful and relaxing getaway that we both needed. We enjoyed time alone in the tent, walking the trails, coffee on the veranda, and getting to know you and your pups. Mandola Estate Winery and Trattoria Lisina are an absolute MUST for any couple looking for a fun and romantic night out with great wine, great food, and excellent service.
We couldn't have asked for a better hostess, you definitely made Sinya a place we'll come back to...It's the perfect place to fall in love all over again."

Normally we're in a hurry to get back home but not this time - a testament to a unique, peaceful place to stay! Thank you for putting this together."
