A short walk down the quiet, shady lane will take you to the golf course, tennis court, pool or yacht club. After just a minute or two in the car you will find shopping and Acadia National Park's Schoodic Point with an endless array of breathtaking scenery & hiking/biking trails. Arrange for a kayak tour or hop on the ferry to Bar Harbor to experience the other part of Acadia. The possibilities are endless for an incredible vacation.

Area Information

The wonders of Acadia’s Schoodic Peninsula are boundless and virtually undiscovered along the Schoodic National Scenic Byway. The national park’s dramatic scenery is among the best in Maine, but still quiet and private, inspiring artists from around the world. Quaint villages with white spires, lobster fleets at rest, galleries, studios, shops, and restaurants can be discovered in this tiny peninsula. The village of Winter Harbor, with golf course, yacht club, ferry to Bar Harbor, and lobster festival is the home of the nationally known Schoodic Arts Festival with its impressive venue of year-round performing arts and the biennial International Sculpture Symposium.
