Description of the Winthrop vacation home rental

Well maintained 3 bedroom home on beautiful Annabessacook Lake with private beach, dock and mooring for boats, very nice kid friendly swimming area. Great fishing, boating and swimming lake. Listen to the loons at night, watch the moon dance on the water at night and the gorgeous sunrises over the lake in the morning from your bedroom balcony or private deck.
House has modern full kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, toaster, toasteroven, 4 burner oven/stove, refrigerator. All pots,pans and dishes you need. There are 2 bedrooms one with a King and one with a Queen bed and private balcony or deck overlooking the lake. One larger bedroom with extra long twin beds and a full size futon. Each bedroom has TV's. Dish satellite service and 32" flat screen HD for the Master bedroom upstairs and the Living room.
Living room with DVD, VCR, stereo with CD player, audio tape deck. Library of DVD's, VCR tapes, and plenty of good books. 2 bathrooms, one with shower, one with shower/tub and double vanity. Large deck on lake side with lots of chairs. Gas barbeque grill, gas chimnea for night atmosphere, horseshoe area, badminton, foosball. WOW!!!!

Area Information

Annabessacook Lake located in Winthrop Maine, just outside the Capital city of Augusts, very conveniently located to most of Maine's attractions. Annabessacook Lake is one of the largest lakes in Central Maine with many, streams, ponds and rivers and lakes close by. Hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, sailing, waterskiing, jet skis, summer theatre, shops and much more nearby.
Maine's beautiful mountains and coast are only an hour away. Golfing, horseback riding, tennis, miniture golf, go carts, bicycling trails, antiquing, horseshoes, badminton, hunting, downhill skiing, crosscountry skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing, ice skating, snow shoeing and more.
LL Bean's is 35 minutes away located in Freeport Maine, the largest outlet store area in Maine. From this beautiful lakeside home you can access loads of fun for the family/friends, or just relax by the lake and enjoy the beauty of a Maine summer.

If you are looking for a quiet peaceful vacation this is the place. The lake house is just as pictured in the site. The kayaks and canoe are a great bonus. Everything you need is there from books to board games even horse shoes and ladder ball.The view is beautiful

The "camp" was absolutely fantastic and much more than we expected. The pictures don't do it justice. It was well stocked and furnished. We had 10 people for dinner one night and were not crowded at all. There was plenty of seating for eating as well as for sitting around watching Sunday afternoon football. The location was perfect for our many day trips to various parts of the state. The lake is gorgeous and we even caught fish from the dock. There was a kayak, bicycles and fishing gear for us to use. The Varneys thought of everything. We are so glad we found this place and would definitely rent it again on our next trip to Maine.

We had a great time on vacation this year. The house and property were comfortably, quiet, private & relaxing. The use of the canoe and ping pong table was a bonus. we never had a vacation where we could sit on the porch outside or the couch inside and see bald eagles fly by or land in the trees. Great Week of Camp

We wanted to take the time to let anyone interested in renting this camp that it is a great spot. We come to Maine every year for a week of camp on a lake and this was the best camp\lot that we have rented in 8 years - especially if you have kids. It has all the amenities you can think of, great sandy beach (with fire pit, canoe and kayaks), great camp layout inside - and its situated a few minutes from town (yet the lot is very private) - and is on a great, clean lake with good fishing and swimming for everyone (close to the boat launch too). We will definitely rent here again and look forward to our time at this camp in the future. Just thought others might like to know.

Great Vacation

Property is wonderful for families. Very clean and well kept. House is bright and airy. Small enough to be cozy yet large enough for private time. Instructions for maintaining the property during our stay were ready available with clear explanations. Contacted by owner during stay to check if we were in need of anything which was a nice personal touch. Would recommend this location to everyone who wants to experience Maine at it's finest!!

"Great place for spending the Summer of 2011. This year around lake home on Lake Annabessacook is surrounded by rolling lawns and woodland habitat offering plenty of privacy. Expansive windows and decks offer multiple views of the lake, islands and wild life. During our stay we saw loons, Canadian Geese, fox, muskrats, wild turkeys as well as a doe and her two fawns. We were able to play golf at three area golf courses as well as attend the Monmouth Theater's professional plays, all within a 15 minute drive. The Maine Coast, LLBeans's, and Portland are all within an hour's commute. The property's beach area and dock were ideal for young children, and the Kayaks and canoe allowed for lake exploration. We really enjoyed the paddle to Great Island for swimming and walking the nature trails. This vacation home was well furnished and the owners were quick to respond if anything was needed."
