Description of the Wisconsin Dells vacation home rental

Sunny and bright and in an excellent location on Castle Rock! With an open view of the lake, watch the sunlight dance across the waves, shimmering like diamonds. Shimmering Bay has many features that you'll appreciate from your vacation rental, like the full set of windows facing the water, and the wrap-around deck leading to the expansive glass and screen porch with seating for 12. This deck has gas barbeque grill, and is great for entertaining, sun-bathing and enhancing your lake view. And gather around the campfire to complete your Northwoods experience.

Bring your boat (or rent from a nearby marina) and dock it right in front of the home on the boat slip provided on the community pier. Located in a channel fairly protected from any high winds, you can leave your boat on the dock during your entire stay. This is also a good area for swimming.

Shimmering Bay has a full cathedral ceiling great room which allows for lake views even from the bedrooms and bath in the upper level. The great room and open dining room has a wet bar and mini-fridge for your entertaining pleasures. A half-bath sits off this room. The owners have designed this home for comfort and sensibility, with a private shower room just inside the main door to hose off after a day on the lake. The main level features the breakfast bar and kitchen, full bath, and 2 bedrooms. A lovely hand-crafted wrought iron railing leads up to the second level with 2 more bedrooms, mini loft and a full bath with whirlpool tub and windows overlooking the great room and lake. There is even an upper deck off the bedrooms where you can enjoy the peaceful wooded backyard view.

Enjoy the many beaches, lakeside restaurants, fishing and excellent boating on Castle Rock Lake. Bring your bikes, hiking shoes, snowmobiles, ATVs and golf clubs for the many trails and championship golf courses in our area. Nearby attractions include the Necedah Wildlife Refuge (the largest in Wisconsin), Elroy Bike Trail, canoeing / kayaking the Wisconsin and Lemonwier River, gaming casinos or take a day trip to the Frank Lloyd Wright center & House on the Rock. All this, and only 30 minutes from the Wisconsin Dells experience. Relaxation or exhilarating activities the choice is yours.

Deposits: In order to BOOK your reservation, you must call the Cottage Keeper to receive your unique reservation number. A reservation deposit of 50% of the total base rent is due within 10 days of booking.

Other Fees: A security deposit is required on all Cottage Keeper Vacation Rentals, equivalent to the nightly prime season rate (or a minimum of $400). We have a 4-night minimum stay during the prime season and a 3-night minimum stay during the value-season. If less, AND accepted by the owner, the short-stay cleaning fee is $180.00.
