Newly renovated peaceful cottage in desirable neigborhood that has drawn artists of all sorts since the 1930's. One of the nicest neighborhoods in the valley. Eco friendly cottage. We use all natural bedding. 100% high thread count cottton bed sheets. Natural sterilzation between guests, assuring a clean place to stay without the use of toxic chemicals.Smoking allowed outside only.

A few minutes walk to the Mulholland scenic corridor with it's hiking trails. Minutes to Old town Calabasas and The Commons. Minutes to Whole Foods Market, shopping centers, and resturants. 12 miles to Topanga State Beach. Approx. 30 minutes to Hollywood, Universal Studios, Santa Monica, Malibu, The Getty Center, and Magic Mountain. Just under a hour to Disneyland, and Just over a hour to Santa Barbara.

My husband and I enjoyed the quiet pretty setting up in the Hills. Lars and Sunday went out of their way to stock the frig with necessities so that we didn't have to worry about what to do for breakfast. Where else do you get that kind of service?

A quiet cottage with very friendly hosts, clean, 40 min to LA Downtown, nice pool, big garden, cottage is for 4 persons a little bit small. We would come again.

We had such a lovely stay at the Cottage in the Hills! Such a wonderful hostess - answering the phone at all hours of the day (and night) for assistance! Supplied items we forgot without hesitation. Everything we needed to help make our vacation perfect!!

 

 The best place to stay near Hollywood, May 5, 2008

We (2 adults) fully enjoyed our 3 week stay at the Holiday home in the Woodland Hills. The accommodation met all and more of our needs. We needed a place with a full kitchen but with lovely surroundings. We arrived after a very long journey and as soon as we entered the door we felt so welcomed just by all of the provisions in the cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and cosy with modern air conditioning and cooking facilities (A proper oven and large fridge). It even had satellite TV. If you want to stay in a relaxed quiet environment, this is it. There is plenty of space to sit in the private communal garden out the back in the sun or the shade. This accommodation is well placed for getting to Hollywood, and also going up Topanga Canyon for a lovely route to the Pacific Coast highway, and also for driving through the beautiful mountains north of the Woodland Hills.

We were happy with our stay at the cottage. The cottage is well kept and an updated decor. The owners were also very responsive to any of our requests. The cottage was however pretty small. Not much room in the living area but for fine for a couple.
