The Admiral's Cabin is paneled in hand made bleached mahogany bead board, fully furnished,with a full kitchen( Chambers stove identical to Rachel Ray's kitchen, refrigerator) and marble bath, ipod ready bose stereo , tv and dvd ,radiant slate floor heating and gas log fireplace.. A very high style design. close to Mohonk Mountain House, Woodstock and Rhinebeck .It is perfect for a couple who want a luxury life style in the middle of the woods ! weekly, monthly, seasonal rent possible. THE SETTING: Situated upon approximately 47 forested acres, DeWitt Lake includes a 9 acre, spring and stream fed, crescent shaped lake, with charming water and wooded views. DeWitt Lake is unusual in that it is almost entirely surrounded by granite cliffs, secluding nearly all of the property. In this private nature reserve, residents take pleasure in fishing, swimming, boating, trail hiking, hunting (both turkey and deer), and in the winter, ice skating, snow-mobiling and cross country skiing

DeWitt Lake, situated in Rosendale /Kingston , exit 19 on the NY state thruway 87 ( 20 minutes south of Woodstock), is in the heart of the Mid Hudson River Valley with easy access to the region's entertainments. Rosendale/Kingston/New Paltz/Rhinebeck and Woodstock are all within 20-30 minutes driving and offer every conceivable activity from great restaurants , museums, golf courses, hiking trails , to spas and retreat centers ( Omega Institute is across the Hudson River in Rhinebeck and the Emerson Spa north on route 28 . Mohonk Mountain House is 8 miles south) . The entire area is a haven for creative people and a peaceful lifestyle without the pressures and artifice of the Hamptons.
