Another great trip!

This was our second trip to this cabin this year, and we are already planning for a couple of trips next year. The whole family had a great time, my nephew had a blast fishing and shooting at the range. Steve is a wonderful host and he really goes out of his way to make sure his guests enjoy their stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the cabin. It was such a peaceful retreat fishing off the dock on the penobscot river. The cabin is very roomy and comfortable. The owner Steve Hall checked in to make sure everything was fine and his hospitality was outstanding. I would highly recommend a stay at the cabin if you are looking for a peaceful place to relax. The fishing is great, and plenty of wildlife abounds in the area for anyone that likes to take pictures. I am looking forward to returning next spring 2013 again. Charlie

Need I say more than that comment? The owner was beyond accomodating! He provided a clean cabin with all the comforts of home! Although off the beaten path, this cabin was perfect for our hiking group. Baxter state Park was 50 minutes away! It was a beautiful setting and an escape from the busy world! Thank you so much!

Perfect spot to get away from it all

I almost don't want to review this place so it will remain a well kept secret! First of all, I think you have to like camping and isolation to love this place. It is rustic, and it is out there. 20 minute drive down a dirt rd in the woods before you reach it. But if you are like me, you will find this to be the perfect mix of camping and staying at a house. Once we were there we found we didn't even want to do our planned day trips, we had so much fun on the property. Swim and kayak right there, relax in the hammock or on the porch, sit around the awesome fire pit. Steve and Liz were the best hosts you could ask for. We did go white water rafting up in millinocket while we were there, which was a blast. So, I highly recommend this cabin, but I do hope it doesn't get over rented so I can go back whenever I want, which I hope is often!

We stayed at the cabin for a few days. It was very clean and the owners were super helpful. I will definitely go back next year. The cabin sits right n the river and swimming spots. I was not a fan at first of the idea of the outhouse but have to say it is costume made and actually felt like you were in a bathroom. It didn't even smell bad. They really put hard work in creating this cabin and clearly making it a pleasurable stay. I only wish we could have stayed longer. It is off the beaten path but again owners were super helpful and actually hung signs helping direct us to the cabin. Oh and we got cell service which was pretty unbelievable considering the location. Thanks so much for letting stay at your place. Will definitely come back whenever we can. :)

Piece of heaven!

Enjoyed the week with my husband and a friend and will definitely be back. Most of the comforts of home (except outhouse but a cozy outhouse, at that) at your fingertips! Small store down the street if you're missing something or head into Lincoln, a short drive away (Marden's too!) Mt Katahdin hiking at it's best only 45 minutes away; a must when in this region! Berries close by provided us with yummy pancakes! Steve accommodated with transportation for a kayaking trip down the Penobscot; found lots of treasures! I would recommend this Penobscot Riverfront cabin rental to anyone interested in a real secluded Maine fishing trip! There's great fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, hunting…etc. and the river is steps from your door step! We boated up river and floated back down catching fish along the way and watched an eagle flying to and from his nest right above us! We also kayaked about 1 1/2 hours down the river and went through some light whitewater! Steve drove us back up to camp where we continued fishing. You couldn't ask for better host than Steve and Liz Hall whom will make sure all your needs are taken care of! I can personally guarantee that this will be one of the best vacations you will ever have!

all the time we were there it was so much fun ,if you love peace and quit and lots of activities ,the owners are great ,the ATV riding was so interesting ,the berries all along the trails all morning and we never left the property,a trip that i will never forget .

We have been there several times in the summer and spring and fall. Had a great time. The owners are great people very friendly. Lots of fish caught. If you like going in the woods and have a great time this is the place.
